Are these irons similar? I don't have access to test out ping equipment, but recently was able to hit the mp18sc. 7 and up were ok. 6 and down were pretty difficult. Hoping to hear the 210s are more forgiving. TIA.

Demo'd the SC18 and while the 6 was pretty forgiving the longer irons were definitely more demanding. Ended up going with the i210's 4-p and they are stupid easy to hit throughout the set.

I'm coming off a few months of playing the MP18 blades and the i200s intermittently. The SCs aren't much different than the blades and the i210s and i200s are very similar in terms of performance.

Based on my experience, the i210s will be far more forgiving and a lot longer. It's an apples to oranges comparison, IMO. I was at least a club (maybe 2) clubs longer through the bag with the Pings.

Nothing feels like a Mizuno, though.

I would say that the MMC's would be more comparable in forgiveness to the i210's than the SC's.

No, these irons are not similar in any way. cast vs. forged, forgiving vs unforgiving, offset vs less offset. Both are great irons and i wouldn't hesitate to have both in my bag.

So a better comparison would be with the jpx line. Would there be a huge difference between the 919 forged and the 210 with regard to forgiveness and distance?

Where would a 565/585 srixon fit into this.

I don't think the 565/585 offer any more forgiveness than the 210, maybe even a bit less, but slightly longer than 210. 919 Forged and 585 would probably be comparable on distance and forgiveness.

I currently play the MP18 SC but am close to pulling the trigger on a set of i210.

Hit them at my local shop on a whim, and have never struck a club more consistently. I took the 7 iron to the range to compare against my MP18 SC and it was roughly a club longer, definitely more forgiving, and gave me a better launch.

Instead of playing golf this year I played with equipment. I really enjoyed a lot of irons, but getting the shaft right has been a struggle. The only good news is that I played a lot of rounds comparing irons and at least now I know what results my game (or lack there of some days) produces with lots of different equipment.

I had a lot of rounds with the i200, TM P770, and the Callaway 2018 X forged. I had multiple rounds with the i210 (side by side with the i200), P750, MP 5's, and MMC's.

I found the i200 with modus 105 s to be a solid combination and my second favorite club of the year. The i210 is a better looking club in my eyes but performance wise you are splitting hairs between the two. As other have said, both are super easy to hit and I understand the affinity for them. I hit a lot of what I consider good shots with both sets, but not a lot of great shots. I would surprise myself with days where I felt that I could put about any swing on them and I would find the green. My problem was that I never was able to be precise with them. Good swings and very mediocre swings produced a lot of GIR's, but I would miss them right of the pin 20ft or left 20 feet, or long or short 20 feet more than I stuffed them. I simply could not get the feel for exactly where I was hitting them...except I knew they were going to launch high.

The MP18 (MMC at least) is a very different club. Off days mean less GIR's for sure. On days however mean closer birdie putts in my case. On days also mean I can flight the ball up and down and move it left and right.

I don't think there is one best club out of all I have played this year. Every single one can produce when you put a swing on them. For me, it comes down to what let's me play the way I enjoy playing golf. I have fun moving the ball on the range and on the course. Because of this alone, the MMC is my pick. I have gone lower with them too and the only explanation in my mind is that you have to pay attention when you swing them. With the Pings, I got lazy with them because I got away with too many mediocre swings. Lastly, the MMC short irons are as good as I have played in my life.

So, not only would I but I did bag each of them this year. But, they are very very different.
