Nike Sasquatch Max shafts

Whats the best shaft you have found?
I tried the SQ Max when it first came out but did not give it much of a run. Did not care for the feel with the stock shaft so I sold it and purchased a SQ tour and put a Grafalloy Comp NT Prototype shaft in it and have been pretty happy with it. Well, being the club ho that I am I purchased another SQ Max and am trying to decide what shaft to try in it. I might just put the same Grafalloy Comp NT in it but I wanted to see what shafts everyone else has tried and liked in the SQ Max. Thanks for any info guys.

The shaft doesn't really depend on the head. It depends on the swing.

I could tell you all about a shaft that worked for me, but unless you have the same swing speed, tempo, and release than it won't me squat to you. get on a launch monitor and do some testing. You'll want to try to keep the head constant and just change the shaft. You might not be able to do this with the SQ head b/c stores don't seem to be carrying a lot of different set ups with these guys. you might be better off finding som place with a FT-3 fitting system. They'll have all the popular shafts and they'll screw them in and out of the head you are working with. from there you at least have a foundation to make an eduacted guess at what might work with the SQ... Good luck

I completely understand what your saying here.... I agree. I am just curious as to what others have experienced with shafts in the SQ Max.

1. aldila nv-75 - trajectory tad low, way too little spin - have since found out that the shaft is stiffer than stated on shaft, but doesn't appear to be tipped

2. accuflex acculaunch 70 - trajectory was high, but so was the spin which is a problem in the winds of texas. if you like the stock shaft you will like this even better

3. ust v2 65 gram - trajectory mid and spin is perfect. i'm hitting the longest drives even and control is there. i am able to hit the ball with a draw or face, high or low.

i agree with phillypete. shafts will vary per swing and trying out the callaway optifit system is great (if your looking at the shafts that they offer - blue, prolaunch, nv, nvs, ys-6, v2, etc....). as a reference, i have a 100-105 swing speed. i am typically a high ball hitter with an agresive down swing and the tendency to reverse pivot. for me, my ignite 410 w/ aldila nv-75 stiff and sasquatch tour w/ aldila nv-75 stiff.

The MAX is a low spin head that gives a lower trajectory than other heads of similar loft - even lower spin and launch than the SQ Tour according to Nike customer service. Having said that, I have had good luck with the Graffaloy Pro launch Blue, and GREAT luck with the diamana redboard. I have owned 3 SQ Tours with the PL Blue, REAX TP 75, and Blueboard, and none have given me the distance, feel and forgiveness of the SQ MAX redboard combo I am currently playing. Truly a must try, IMO. For reference, my ss is approximately 105-107 and I carry the ball 250-265. I have had a number of drives over 300 with this club. Best of all, it feels and sounds perfect. I liked the SQ Tour, but I love the MAX with this shaft. Cannot recommend it enough.
