Yeah that's tough. I have 710 cbs, and i tested the 919t, the MP 18 SC, and also the mp18 mb. my honest experience... all practically the same level of forgiveness. I didn't see a huge increase going from the MB to the 919T and SC. Hopefully Mizuno releases another MMC like option which sounds like it what you are looking for.

The 919 Tours are as forgiving as the 900 Forged. Maltby MPF has new ratings up for the 919 line and the 919 tours are extremely forgiving and playable with high MOI and low COG.

I moved on from the S55’s to the 919ts. Not much difference in forgiveness or even feel as the s55’s felt great. 919t is a very playable iron and not as punishing as you’d think. I think it’s more forgiving than a true blade but has all the looks of one.

Sometimes, I have to questions that chart. If you look at it, the MP 18 SC irons are rated as a players classic. tougher to hit than the mb's (i felt the opposite was, true, but marginal). Also, the MMC irons are rated as a classic, which i don't understand. They have tungsten and more tech than the MB's which i would think give them a much larger edge.

Anyways, nothing bad to say on any of the clubs. I loved them. I personally just felt that the forgiveness factor wasn't much to consider, as say an AP2, but i'll still game the mizuno over titleist any day.

I don't ALWAYS follow those ratings either, however, low vertical center of gravity and the moi are the most important factors. The VCOG below .840" (which is the center of the golf ball) plus the MOI number, which is resistance to twisting, will give you an idea on how forgiving the club head is compared to others. The 919 Tours stack up very nicely (better than most) compared to other clubs with that similar profile. And then of course, everyone has their own swing YMMV :)

Fingers f'n crossed for you, I, and anyone else who agrees. #blackmizzy

While I agree that the MMCs are Mizuno's AP2 a why do you think it is that no one on tour plays them while plenty of Titleist staffers play the AP2? Just curious.

Just a comment as our bags are kind of similar. I moved recently from the MMC to the Z945. I ordered the MMC 1 degree strong to get the stock flight where I wanted. My Z945 are kept at stock lofts to get that same stock flight I look for. So that left me for example:

MMC 7i at 31degrees after going 1 degree strong (With Recoil 95gm F4 shafts)

Z945 7i at 33 degrees (With Recoil 110gm F4 shafts)

The results are almost identical flight but with the MMC giving a little more distance. My guess is the shafts are making up for the loft to give the same flight or the club design itself?

Just keep it classy and clean Mizzy. the 18s were about perfect. Maybe just re-release the 32's with some modern tweaking and call it a day. Then watch the hay as it comes rolling in.

Titleist pays big money to play on staff. Mizzy does not. Confirmed that Titliest WILL be launching new 720 lines this fall which will coincide with Mizzy launch. Its going to be a tremendous slug fest with Titleist hotter faces going up against grain flow forged Mizzy irons. My money is with Mizuno hands down but makes life exciting.
