Project a and s proto balls I’m suspecting.

Played both balls today.

Decent balls. I'm guessing Project A replacements. Felt really good, soft but not too soft, I belive the Proto 2 was a tad softer feeling. . They were just as long as the TP5X, flew a bit higher than a TP ball as well.

Unfortutaly, for me, they didn't hold very well on the green, quite a bit of roll out on both balls. Chips they seemed to run a bit more as well.

Interesting. The TM rep was in here asking us about the Project A last year. I would wager it's also a Project A replacement.

I also received these and they had that project a feel but I will say they felt improved. I use to play the project a but when i struck the ball with a driver it felt, i don't know, sort of hollow but these felt more solid of the driver. I played in light rain so it was tough to gauge but overall I found I liked the proto 1 better then proto 2. They both felt similar but the proto 1 just seemed better. they both passed the putting test for me and had good feel around the greens but neither held as well as my current gamer the AVX but again it was wet out there. Overall I think these are the next improved project a and s balls and if they can keep price down these should find their way into players bags!

Any idea if the proto 1 or 2 are the a and s? Has TM made that distinction?

I completed the survey a couple weeks ago but have not received any info on what balls they were.

When i do hear something I will post it on here!

Thanks, I will keep a look out myself. I used them this weekend and shot some low scores and think the Proto 2 could be my new ball.

Just got another package from TM and this is a 4 pack of Project (a) with trial stamped on side.

No note or anything but I assume this was the follow up to the testers pack and survey which I said I liked proto1 better.

maybe someone who said they like proto2 better could confirm if they received a 4 pack of the (s)?
