US Kids TS3: Parallel or Taper Tip / Diameter

For those that have replaced or needed to replace the shaft of a US Kids Tour Series iron, what is is the tip diameter (set in question 54")?

 

My 9 year old child is not quite at the level of getting adult heads due to the weight but is swinging with decent speed (65 mph average with the driver) so I'm leaning towards upgrading the shafts.

WHY??? His SS seems fine for that set and currently under what he would need for the 57" series by a bit. I think USKG knows what they are doing, and seems like an expensive project for kids clubs. If you were going to go that route It be more cost effective to buy heads from Flynn and get aftermarket clubs. But for a kid who SS is 65 stock Uskg/flynn would do just fine.

I agree with you. Makes absolutely no sense to reshaft.

(Newbie to the forum here).

Does anyone know the answer to the original question of what is the tip diameter of US Kids TS3 iron clubs?

I got a used set for a friend (TS3-63), and it has a broken/bent 8 iron (steel shaft).

I want to repair/replace the 8-iron (steel shaft) myself and re-do all the grips on the rest of the clubs before delivering the clubs.

I used a caliper to measure the tip just above the hosel, and it's about 0.345 in, but the closest steel club tips I see on-line is 0.355 in standard.

I've e-mailed US Kids but haven't received a reply since my e-mail is probably low priority since I didn't buy it new from them.

Anyone reshafted US Kids TS-3 clubs give their experience? Any help/info appreciated. I may start a new thread if no one sees this post.

TS3-63 8 Iron, Steel ShaftI wouldn't attempt to repair a club you can buy for new at $50.
