How’s your golf going this year?

Wildly erratic over the course of the year, ever more so than usual. Was poorly fitted for irons in March and that completely messed me up until I changed the shafts out for lighter ones. Then had a period of strong play where it seemed things were coming together, but eventually that fell apart and I began to question my swing more and more. I've tried to do a lot of work on the swing over the last couple of years but in some ways it's been a fool's errand. I can see what I'm doing wrong but can't manage to correct it in a way that works for me. I finished the year feeling frustrated with the continuing lack of consistency that plagues me; somehow, through this up and down season, my index dropped from and 8.2 to a 7.1. I definitely was feeling better about my game at this time last year, so go figure.

Been scoring 76-79 for past 2 months.. brought down my handicap to 6-7..

Mixed feelings with this.. Glad my game is getting better.. Sucks to give away strokes to my competitors..

We have 1 player that has 22 handicap.. Streaky player, possible sandbagger.. he seems to always win money at the end..

I have been golfing quite well now that high school golf season is over (handicap down to a 1.5). However, I feel like I am faking my handicap given I still have obvious weaknesses in my game. I am still having issues with consistent speed production. I am also still struggling to fill my bag between 3 wood and 5 iron. I need something reliable, but my long iron/hybrid came has been super inconsistent. I need to put the work in and I intend to, I just don't even know where to begin as I have never hit hybrids all that particularly well.

unfortunately for me the tennis elbow injury crept up and I’m pretty much done for the next couple of months. With the weather in California returning back to much more wet conditions, it will probably be a perfect time to heal up.

I can understand the golf injuries. I am limiting play to nine holes for now, but that includes walking. When I check my blood pressure after walking nine, it has been very good. Definitely what my doctor ordered, he actually did. I have two courses in the area that are walking friendly. I could care less if I am not shooting my best, as long as I am having fun and keeping it decent. This time of year the grass is rather dormant, so good lies here and there. Just glad to be playing in December!!

Broke a 10 year hiatus. 27 rounds since July. Down from 110 to high eighties and low nineties.
