I played Enjoie golf course which hosts the BC Open the monday after the tournament was over.Talk about a rough day,the greens were like hitting onto cement.Putting wasn't too easy either, these may have been some of the fastest greens I played on. Great experience altogether all the grandstands were up.Pretty cool hitting into green and seeing bleachers behind the green.

The Dragon in Tahoe...from the tips...let's just leave it at 'pretty tough'

I dropped a 50 :( on the front  , then I birdied that frickin 18 with all the bunkers for an 86!!!

50-36...1 birdie. I played for free, and I still think I got ripped off.

It's tough.

Played the Ocean couse at Kiawah for the first time about 12 years ago. Never saw the course and played it ALL the way back in a 30+ mph gale. Long Word not allowed golf course. No idea where I was going. Shot a crowd pleasing 97.

Played it under identical conditions the next day and shot 73. Big help getting to know the course a little the previous day.

I would have to say that the Half Moon Bay golf course ( Ocean course) was the toughest course I have ever played, that I was content with the score. the course is a links style which can present some problems if you never played it which I had not . the real problem was the wind. no word of lie that it was a constant 40+ to 50 mph ( there was a storm, mostly wind moving through)It was very hard to plan where your ball ended up. After a few holes I just started to accept the wind and ride the wind , when I could instead of trying to fight it .I feel that I did well to shoot an 84. number 5 was a bear into the wind, #6 hit my tee shot over the bunkers on the right and ended up in the middle of the fairway after a wind aided 30 yard draw lol , the only time I loved the wind was on # 13 hit driver, sw 50 yard second shot . I pared 5 of the last 6 coming in which helped my score a ton.

check out the link to their website http://www.halfmoonbaygolf.com , go to the ocean course

I played Royal Aberdeen GC in Aberdeen Scotland about 2 years ago (host of the Senior British this year) in conditions similar to day 1 of this year's Open. 25+mph winds from seemingly every direction, with a light rain here and there.

I played with a member who was also a single digit handicap, was the most fun I've ever had on a course. Brutal conditions, first round on a real links course, and shot an incredible 74 from the tips. Would have been even par if it hadn't been for a ill placed Gorse bush behind one of the greens. To give you an idea of the wind, I hit driver on a 170yd. par 3 into the wind and a 9 iron the same distance on a downwind approach.

Best part is that the member was so impressed with my round that day that he insisted I call him next time I'm in Scotland and he would arrange a round at Muirfield for us!!!

Toughest course in the Monterey Peninsula.

Bayonet/blackhorse. 2 courses, bayonet is by far the hardest course down there. This is an old military course that was turned over to the public.

Nationwide plays there and I think it is always the highest scoring average of the year.

My best there, 74 from the tips with a 75.6 rating.

Just played Medinah #3 today. Holy Poop the greens are almost illegal! The rough is the most penalizing stuff I've played out (they encourage you to drive in the fairway to keep the rough wretched). If you go above the hole...good luck. :idhitit:

I shot an 83 only because I hit many fairways and my putting wasn't as god aweful as it recently has been. :D

I played there once...not from the tips...shot an 87. Not bad for a 3.9hc. ;)

Also played Luana Hills and shot a sweet 86. The tough thing about playing both of these courses for the first time is not knowing what club to hit off the tee, where to leave your approach shots and many long carries over gulches.
