Does he still have another year of exempt status after his win at the Byron in 2015 or is this the last year for that?

Yep he's good for 2017...

Β

Good, glad to hear that he'll have another season to hopefully get things turned around.

Before anyone jumps to judgement about the guy, I feel like they should check out this article about him from 2009:

Steve Stricker and Henrik Stenson. They recovered from games in the toilet and so can Bowditch.

Β

Agree. He can go the stenson route and find a accurate 2 wood and polish up on his mid irons. Driver yips are worse than putting yips in my opinion. I have them and also hit it fairly long and it is the most frustrating thing on earth. To be able to stand and pure long iron after long iron and not be ale to hit a driver and know where it's going is a horrid feeling. You know it has to be mental , yet you don't know how to fix it.

Not sure if it's really yips, but I've gone through periods where I just can't stop coming way over the top with driver and hitting snap hooks or huge slices with the same swing. Very hard to score playing like that no matter how well you swing with the rest of the clubs.

Driver yips are not fun, for sure. At least in my case, I can fall back on my long and trusty 3-wood. However, unless your name is Henrik Stenson, it's hard to get away with that on Tour.

Right there with ya. I put a strong 3 wood in the bag about 3 years ago. I hit driver only two or three times a round and it has to be completely void of risk.

I have struggled with this from time to time, I used to either hit a drive 60 yards right or 60 yards left. My heart would race and I could barely pull it back with the driver. My RBZ Stage 2 tour spoon saved my golf game, cranked it down to 11.5 degrees and I kill that thing. I hit driver maybe once or twice every 5 rounds or so.

Just trying to learn how to putt.

I grew up playing junior golf with Bowdo - simple fact is he is the most talented player i have ever seen and can flat out play. First day I played a tournament with him he had 10 birdies and snapped his putter over his knee! He is a streaky player and will no doubt be back. Most importantly he is a dead set champion bloke.
