Golfers - Aged 50 plus

[/quote]Everybody loses distance, flexibility, and score as they get older. Believe it or not, golf is still a fun game even though your scores go up. In fact, it may be more fun and relaxing as a golfer focuses more on friendships and just getting out there. 99.99% of golfers will never make a living with their scores!

Hey Tom...don't believe the losing distance and flexibility myth. With exercise and stretching you can maintain and even improve both.

The gentleman who won our city senior championship this year is 75, was consistently over 260 off the tee and in great condition. He shot 73-72 from
6,500 yards. After the first round he went and hit balls for an hour because he missed a couple of fairways.

Motivation...good topic!
You see, I'll be 59 this month. I eat, sleep, and breath golf. Golf clubs...I buy, I build, I do alterations, and repairs.
However, I have ADD, and since retiring in 2010, it has really become a challenge. Without any real structure in my life now, I find myself lacking inspiration. Just seem to spin my wheels, no traction.
Anyway, motivation always has been a problem in golf for me. I really only seem to get a hard on for real nice tracks on road trips, or the odd men's league Thursday game. Especially if I get off to a good start. Now, when I played hockey, that was a different story. A fast bang bang game, no time to wander off into lala land, unlike golf.
Yeah, so motivation is a challenge for this cat. Anyway, it's off to the Arizona desert next month. I think I can feel some mojo already!

Thanks guys! I appreciate your ears? Any charge for that session doctors?

[/quote]Everybody gets older, including you. Although what you say is true, I can remember hitting much farther, but due to age and injuries, I lost about 50 yards. Remarkably, I score just about as well as when I was hitting it longer.
