ONOFF?! WTH?!

Anybody ever tested out any ONOFF brand products?

 

I was just browsing on fairwaygolfusa.com and spotted a set of gold finished irons ... Then I saw the price! Over $6100 for an 8 piece iron set! Pretty freakin ridiculous price .... They have what looks like matching woods/hybrids as well that are also gold ...

 

Anyone stupid rich enough to drop $15K on a golf bag? If so post pics and your credit card number :D

I've used some of there items. They make quality stuff.

They do have that crazy expensive iron set, but their real star of the show iron set is in the realm of a custom set of AP2's pricewise.

And really, I walked past an Maruman iron set for over $50k today so $6k is nothing.

Yup, OnOff makes some nifty stuff. I've hit some of their wedges. Nice and soft.

Fairwaygolfusa.com is one of the biggest rip off sites around. Look at some of the cameron tour putters. 009s for $4k that are $2k on eBay. I would guess that it would be the same for everything on the site.

I've tried many different iron sets JDM and otherwise. The stupid name is Belied by the outstanding performance and feel. The 2013 ONOFF forged are tremendous irons. Sorry you guys feel that fairway golf is a ripoff. Their prices on most things are quite competitive. On those you feel aren't, feel free not to buy them.

I've bought from Fairway and found them to be very helpful.

I don't judge retailers and vendors based on eBay prices - for better or for worse.

fairway golf usa is not a rip off, also the tour camerons are indeed the tour stuff and u dont have to worry about counterfeits.

That's nothing. My uncle spent $24,000 on a full set of golf plated Honma clubs. And that was like 7 years ago.

Wrong on both counts, a new 009 from one of the oldest Cameron tour dealers ( heard of Matchbox) vs a used eBay special, not even close. I live where they have 2 storefronts and these guys bend over backwards to make there customers happy. Not to many places you can go see and demo most of the JDM gear. They do the same for their call in customers, get a clue PGA.

The Onoff 2013 forged are the best all around irons for feel, forgiveness and performance. Gold plated stuff is status for Asian rich guys.

It's small but loyal market. Also, there are other forums on sites that are JDM specific. I wouldn't pass judgement on anything based solely on GolfWRX.

some people are just ignorant....onoff is seriously good irons, lot better than your speedbladez 4 sure....fairway golf is great too, very competitive and great service...plus they carry JDM gear that our box stores dont....expensive sets have always been around.....not good to start threads when your ignorant,lol

Anyway, OnOff make QUALITY stuff. But this gaudy garbage doesn't help their rep in the better players' market.

On/Off is a well know JDM brand...but as far as quality goes, well that's a topic for a different thread...but for my money, pretty much everyone makes awesome stuff and it's more a matter of fitting and finding something you like than one company (or JDM specifically) being heads above others...

This thread is hilarious. I'm sure what looks good is all personal taste but how you can call the onoff forged is ugly is beyond me. But then again the rocketbladez probably look good to them.

Just to clarify that the captioned iron set is not OnOff brand but the premium line of the Daiwa brand usually for sale in Domestic Japan. You can browse thru the whole Daiwa site;

As you can see, OnOff clubs are not as expensive nor so 'Blink.' OnOff forged are great irons and you should also look at the tour van Labospec line which are fab.

Of course there are still very 'blinky' Honma but don't discount Honma Tour World line just because of the name. Great clubs which are at fairly reasonable price at JDM standard.
