Very solid round for Tiger. He hit the ball very well and made a some putts. Could have been even a few lower without those couple lipouts.

A pretty solid opening round for Tiger today. It could have even been a few shots lower but hey, he'll take that. He's very much in contention. If he continues to play like this, it just makes the tournament that much more intriguing.

Makes no sense to me. His short game was spotty, but his distance control with his mid-irons was great. Since he says his power is increasing every day, and was practicing his short game exclusively for a couple of months, you would expect the opposite.

I was up at 3:00am Central Time to watch Tiger tee off. The first two holes where he bogey-bogied it felt as if he was getting back around to a tournament type setting. I went back to sleep after he finished the 6th or 7th hole only to wake up to Tiger -2 on the 17th.....Boy what did miss?? Really excited to see him back out playing.

These scores will come back. I thought the afternoon wave would continue the trend, but the wind is picking up. We'll see if they can duplicate it.
