In terms of marketing, I'd say it was a success. I play no Nike clubs, never have, but I've been following the "drama" from start to now. And I probably won't even buy these irons. Then again I am an equipment geek...

I don't mind the black as much as it mind the neon green. I would give these irons a 7/10, they could have easily been a 9.6/10.

Considering the colors on the Vapor irons, I wouldn't be surprised if the Vapor woods were black with Volt accenting or, if they really wanted to get crazy, Volt with black accents. But I'm not sure the average golfer is ready for a "highlighter colored" driver. TM white and Covert red are positively tame compared to what most golfers will call neon yellow.

if you read the release page on the Nike site, this picture will make sense. it's one of Tiger's blades they modified to add the tungsten

That's when they were testing tigers blade and they drilled a hole when they were designing the new irons with tiger

That appears to be the blade with the tungsten they talked about. Made up for Tiger before the MM design.

Just saw where they interviewed Tiger from the Vapor event, with clips of rory and jimmy hitting the clubs.. they (the news reported) said tiger could get into comedy because "(he) was pretty funny up there." Hmmmm, not so sure...

Hey all. Finally back home and just read thru this entire thread. The most important thing is that the club performs great and looks great at address. I think there will be a very positive reception to the pro combos and for those who just love tiny blades I would encourage you to try them out.

The best part of the night was when jimmy Fallon almost hit Rory's driver off the deck and Rory was like don't mess it up I need that this week! TW switched it out for a three wood. No word if there's snow on top of Rory's driver.
