I'll reserve judgement until I see them in person...but

People will buy these because they are Nike guys...people will buy these because they perform and don't care what they look like, some like the volt color. But if you don't think the looks of the cavity makes a difference when it comes to sales you're kidding yourself. There is a LONG list of very good clubs that didn't sell because people didn't like the look. Volt is a fad color and Nike will have to ride it out for a while to see if they made a good decision.

Ask yourself this...if they put a rack of clubs that looked like the protos next to a rack of these, both with the same price tag, which do think would sell the best?
Just like the Covert driver...it's a successful product but if you put a rack of the red ones next to a rack of the flat black which rack is empty first?

While I agree with that based on the people who frequent Golfwrx, I completely disagree with the general public.

People gravitate to products that are differentiated from all the others on the rack. This is what Nike has done with their line. While it may not appeal to all, it certainly sets them apart.

I can't wait to try the Vapor PC's! I have a combo set of Covert forged and VR Forged PC's now, but i had to tweak them around a bit (lofts) to get the set to match up. These look like they are a combo of the two, and exactly what I was looking for. I'm not a fan of the "volt" color, but that is such an easy fix I don't see it as a big deal. You can make that swoosh any color you want. The black PVD doesn't look too bad to me.

Marketing sells club in the real world! I think some golf brand a few years ago had a similar color scheme with more white involved.

Love the shape and look of the blade. Hosel progression, toe shape, grooves, everything. I've never been a Nike fan, but these have be intrigued for some reason. I must have been spellbound by this grand launch event plan....

I compare the aesthetics of the outside of an iron more to the outside, body or color of the car not the undercarriage.

The exterior, body, and color of the car are the face,grooves, topline, shape, toe box, etc of the iron. It's what you see when you're addressing the ball. The undercarriage is the back or the cavity. It holds important parts and technology, but you cant see it at address or when you're driving.

Do you look at the cavity of your irons when they are sitting in your bag or do you look at the top line? I usually don't get on a creeper or jack my bag 8 feet off the ground to look at the cavity of the irons. Moving on though, if you like the black and Volt more power to you.

I dont care how they look when they're inmy bag. All I care about is how they look at address and if they perform well. If you want to focus on how they look in your bag, then there's nothing wrong with that, but that's no how I look at them. Agree to disagree. And yes, I do happen to like the black and volt.

MSRP is not what you'll pay retail. You'll pay even lower than retail with a handful of the sponsors on this very site. I believe a few people have said Nike has a pretty solid gamut of shaft offerings as well.

@nikegolf is tweeting the price at 1300 FOR pc AND 1200 FOR the Blades...they have been doing it all day and I know they are offer options in shafts but it is an up charge unlike the new mzzy jpx 850 pro that are 1099 and any shaft of your choice no up charge. I have ppl that can get it to me for discount but still come on nike.

They have a set selection of shafts that the stock, but Nike will get just about any shaft available with a little lead time.

it was already posted on here that 1300 is suggested retail but they should be priced lower in stores. The pro combos do not have pocket cavity in the short irons. The entire line was created with the FULL intention of mixing and matching. No problem what so ever. You may have to adjust loft 1 degree to fill the gaps properly

Scott, I don't think that's right. The pro combos have RZN cavity (formerly known as Pocket Cavities but filled in with the RZN Polymer) long irons (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) and muscle cavity short irons (8, 9, P, A). The lofts are different too. The PC's are 1 degree stronger.
