The Blueboard is not a low spinning shaft. I don't know why everyone is so surprised. And it plays weaker than it's intended stiffness.

Lowest spin I reached with the Pro was right at 3100 and had some mishits that got up to 3900. Thats the only time I have every legitmately been angry towards a launch monitor.

My SLDR is around 2200. I dont like the feel of the SLDR. But I cant argue with the results. Its the best driver for me, no matter how much I want to be in on the Vapor line. Enjoy the pro! Best looking and feeling driver I've hit in a long long time.[/quote]

No need to be scared. for 98% it will lower spin. I am just a high spin player. Thats why the SLDR is the best option for me. Im the guy that backs the ball up when it lands in the fairway. Im not surprised by the spin, just let down. My launch and carry numbers were awesome. Just no rollout for me. I have a feeling this will be the most popular/played driver Nike has ever produced.

Im jealous. My dad tagged along with me and I was explaining/teaching him about what numbers to look for and such and he was laughing watching me get so frustrated. Just one of those things I guess! Im glad the consensus gets good results because it is a sexy driver.

Yea, I haven't tried the S+ yet, though I ordered the 70X tipped 1". I figured it might spin a bit for me. We will see... If not, I've got the whiteboard I can take from my CT 2.0!

I know a lot of guys have been trying the stock S+ shaft and I did also before I ended up with a driver. When I changed shafts in these drivers it made them different clubs. I really didn't like the feel, sound or anything with the stock S+ 60 X. When I started playing around with shafts is when these drivers really shined. I ended up with a Vapor Pro Kuro Kage TiNi 60X and this might be one of the best all around drivers I've played. Maybe not the longest, but best over all performer for sure.

Just a reference point but last year stiff kk tini shaft gave me 3200 rpm in stiff. X stiff got me down to 2500. Shaft makes a big difference. Those of you that use a stiff shaft try the x flex for comparison if your store has any.

With 4000-5000 Spin it isn't the shaft and it isn't the head. I guess you hit down on your driver with will create the spin.
A shaft can only make about 400 reps difference.

I preface this next statement with I'm still trying to find a combination to remotely work so I can have the Vapor Pro/Flex in the bag. But at 2 different retail locations (GG & PGASS) I was getting abt 1300 more RPMs of spin with the Vapor line (on average) than I was with my SLDR 430.

I really enjoy the look of the Vapor line, the feel and want to find a combo to get close, but that's a large gap at the moment. Going to demo the D+, but I'm a low ball hitter already, I'm afraid that may lower spin but launch as well. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!

Side Note: No Nike demo days for awhile in my area

I didn't think that the Nike Vapor Pro was suppose to be comparable in spin to a SLDR 430. Sounds like the R15 would be right up your alley.

You can try a low launch low spin shaft like the Elements Chrome.

The R15 performed the best of the bunch, more consistent than even my 430, but I REALLY want to find a combo with the Vapor to work and perform just as well the 430. I'm not even asking for better, just the same ?

Ok, I was curious so I took my driver a local shop, I wanted to see if I got high spin and loss of distance like some have reported. Nike Vapor Pro with the S+ stiff, set at 10.5 neutral. I could not take a screen shot, but basically my numbers were about 2400 rpms, avg carry 265, swing speed about 104-108. I may be a little off on the numbers, memory is geting bad A couple were 275 carry, which is great for me. So the shaft and head combo is good for me, I was a little worried after reading the latest posts. I still need to see it outside, and see the flight in the real world, but so far so good.

Got to the range this morning for the first time.

Bye bye CT 2.0. It was fun. The Vapor Pro is in the bag. A full review is in process in my WITB, but I want to mention a few thoughts.

The Vapor is much easier for me to launch high. The simulator launch angle numbers no longer have me worried. I could flight this one high or low. Also, I didn't seem to lose it right as much.

Distance was kind of hard to tell. It was about 40 degrees when I hit the range. We have a service road that crosses the range at the 240-250 mark. When I caught the VP solid, it appeared to be carrying right at the road.

I can't wait to get it in the course.

The Flex definitely is a low spin head, the Pro is a little more. For me the Pro head is low enough, I could not keep the Flex in the air. For me its not about the spin and launch, I have tested some and they were great on the sim, but bad outside and vice versa. I have been playing long enough that I can hit it outside and tell if its going to be a winner or not for me.

Guess you missed my reply. You might want to test the Matrix Ozik X4 or X3. High launch + low spin. Fantastic shaft. What shaft is in your SLDR 430?
