My Refinished White Hot by Slighter Golf

This venture started back around November of last year. First off, I must say that if you are ever thinking of refinishing a putter Slighter Golf should be at the top of your list. Tom, is one of the best in the business. Very accommodating, and a pleasure to collaborate with. I won't get into a long story here, so I'll give you as much information about it as I possibly can.

 

The finished length is 33". I am unsure of the loft, or lie angle. I bought the thing for $20, and it was pretty beat up. I had a few adjustments made to it ( a little bending if you will ) to get it to where I liked the look from address. It has the 3X Black Oxide finish. The insert is aluminum, anodized red. Tungsten weighting ( 15g ) was added to the bottom for some more weight. The head weight is right about 350g. I requested just the one Tour Dot in the cavity ( where the Odyssey Logo was ). I didn't really want to go to crazy with too many stampings. I really like the red & white paintfill against the black finish. I think it turned out great.

 

Looking forward to working with Tom again next winter...that came up in one of our numerous e-mails...I'm a putter ho for sure...I haven't even taken delivery of this yet ( shipping 04-02-07 ), and I'm already thinking about the Custom Slighter I want to have Tom & his crew build me next winter.

FANTASTIC JOB !! Everything looks perfect, the insert looks totally wicked and the tungsten weight looks extra neat.

 

Please let us know how you like the insert when you get the putter.

Very nice. Just curious, what kind of turn around time did you get?

Turnaround time was about 11 weeks. I know that sounds like a long time, but most people don't know that this isn't Tom's full time job. Plus I'm sure the winter months are Slighters busiest months. Seeing as how I don't start golfing here until Mid-April...I wasn't in a rush for it, and I told Tom to take his time. I see quite a few Slighter Putters showing up in GolfWRX members signatures. I would also expect a Custom Slighter Putter to take a bit of preference over an OEM refinish...to some extent. When you work with someone as cool as Tom...you don't mind waiting a little extra. jdc1220...Wow...I don't even want to know what you've been doing with that 2 Ball...Yikes!!! I can't answer for Tom, so...go to Slighter Golf, under Purchasing...click on "Refinish Quote". Fill out the info, and Tom will get in touch with you. Okay...I am curious...what have you been doing to your 2 Ball??? And I though my putter was in bad shape when I sent it to Tom.

took the one of a kind 2 ball out yesterday shot 76 with 4 3-putts, while drinking a 12 pack and torching the rest of my set....

Hey guys...well I can see I've been thread-jacked by a burnt out 2Ball...which was obviously not my intent. So if you all like you can keep it going if you want, but I will not be responding to anymore requests for info, or how to get in touch with Tom ( which is very easy...just go to Slighter Golf...you'll figure it out from there ).
