I hope everyone had a good time today. Fighting a healthy Kansas wind, we had two groups post 71 net best-ball. Well done!

I'd like to get something else planned later this summer. Maybe we can use this to brainstorm dates and venues until we get something ironed out. We threw out a few ideas including: Shoal Creek, Sycamore Ridge, and Swope Memorial.

Glad to hear you guys had a good time! I spent Friday night at my daughter's apartment in Lenexa and at early coffee mulled the idea of heading over to Falcoln Lakes before noon and introducing myself to Q and whoever else was around at that point. Problem was I had to get back to Nebraska to get some things taken care of and get ready for what turned out to be 9 hours of work yesterday afternoon and into the evening.

I had told Q in a PM that I had a friend who was also interested in coming but he had undergone an emergency appendectomy. He's also on WRX but has yet to submit a post LOL. So things didn't work out for us this time around.

Maybe we can get down to the KC area later this summer for the next outing

Just out of curiosity what we're some of the scores shot sat? Did everyone play the tips? I know I shot my worse round in 4 years I should have not played the tips I just don't hit it far enough nor play enough to hit the ball good enough to keep up .last year was a different story lol

It was my worst round in a long time. I was a little worried being that I had not played 18 holes at one time this year. Played back tees, but that was not as much of a problem as just wearing down as we went along.

I had the opposite problem that oldhamer did...83 with a smooth 45 on the front that featured 3 doubles.

I really need to work on the short game. Easily blew 6 or 7 shots inside of 40 yards.

Our foursome tipped it out. I managed 37-38 despite a double-bogey on 10. I was unfocused on the tee shot, I thought I lost my 8i! I was bummed that I lost it and somewhat excited if I had to get a new set.

It was playing longer than the scorecard said Saturday as well...Quite a different course from the back. My putter really let me down, but It was still a really good time.

Yep. Easily played 7400+ with the wet conditions...then add the wind. I think I got a total of 10 yards of rollout all day.

I played in the KGA Mid-Am Series event at Falcon Lakes yesterday. You guys know the weather we had, sunny and 80 with a South wind. Yesterday featured 50 degrees, overcast, and a North wind. It was brutal! Winner shot 75, I suffered two doubles for a 78 and 4th place.

That was Q giving me trouble for him always out driving me. If I'm Gary Woodland, he's 1992 John Daly, and the guys I played with we're Jaime Sadlowski and that Jack Hammer guy. I did have the longest drive once, when one of my playing partners hit 3 wood and the other one hit his worst drive of the day. So I've got that going for me.

Edit - wait, I just realized I actually had another longest drive. When they both hit theirs in the weeds. Sweet redemption!

I just saw another thread about a similar event. They do a Ryder Cup type format. What do you guys think of something like that next time around? Cart best ball match play etc.. I don't have a lot of experience with Match play, but sure is fun.

Sadly, this is the current state of the OG RBZ. Snapped off on the tee ball on the fourth hole. Ball went 240. Head went 70.
