Played what I think was my worst round ever today. Didn't break 110! I shanked at least 7 shots. I'm coming over the top now and I don't know wtf happened. Really gotta get my s*** together.

Its definitely a hike though. I have a friend who lives down there and its a solid 90 minutes without traffic for me. Id be up for it if we get some guys though. Id love to play with some F35s taking off in my backswing.

Well the good news about dunking my entire bag last night was getting to replace my rangefinder, the display had been dimming out even with a new battery in it and I was wondering if it would last the rest of the season anyway. Failing rangefinder, SAD! Of course, yeah, it probably would have been easier to exchange it with Bushnell than to leave it at the bottom of a pond but...whatever. Discount Dans as always had a good deal on the ProX2. The phone was another matter but its why I always have insurance on it and have my pics/contacts backed up to Dropbox.

 

Good times.

 

Going to get another round in today before this 7 day cold snap hits us. It looks like they are wavering on whether we are going to get snow or ice or nothing on Tuesday but even if its a week of bad weather, thats not the end of the world considering how great the rest of the winter was. Have @ 10 days until my first VSGA event and a couple weeks until PH so plenty of time to get some practice in between now and then.

 

And it was too early/windy to really tell but I think the TP5x is going to be a really great choice this year. Hit a couple of wedge shots that surprised me in how quick they stopped. If its as good a ball in normal conditions as everyone says along with good check like that - will be interesting to see.

10 day forecasts are finally out. "chance of rain" but highs around 50 for the 18th. It will change, but I'd take that right now if you gave it to me.

 

Got out to Hobbits yesterday for an apres work run-around.

 

Had 3somes's and 4somes's everywhere but it was cool. I just hit a bunch of balls behind a foursome and had a single behind me doing the same thing. We had a nice rhyhm going.

We had it worked out. Like I got to hole 2 tee and looked back and he was in the first fairway hitting shots, so I hit 3 balls off the tee. Played them up, and dropped some balls to hit wedges. Meanwhile, he moseys over and hits a few tee shots himself. When the foursome on 3 is hitting their second, I go over to hit tee shots and the guy behind me starts hitting balls up the fairway. Very nice.

 

Unfortunately, on hole 6, another single caught the single behind me and the whole rhythm was shot.

 

When you add that second guy, they might hit a couple putts, but all of a sudden, they're coming over and I'm getting pushed with no where to go. I can't hit 5 balls into a green when they're behind me even if the 4some is still on the next tee box. You see, that second guy is a dope. I've played with him a couple times. He just flies around in a cart looking for spaces and joining up if there isn't any. It seems like he's out there practicing, but he starts treating it like a real round. I don't get him. No respect for the rhythm.

Well, can't blame a dude for trying...

 

Had to swap a day I previously had off to schedule out for my follow up dermatologist appointment. Initially, my supervisor wanted to swap my May 10 day off for it. I countered with March 23, so there's not a three Thursday run of being off, instead it's back to back. Then, I tried to move my March 24 day off to April 19 to get a last minute entry into the Trolls Riding Unicorns at Whiskey Creek

 

Unfortunately, that one was denied. That day is currently at capacity for people to be scheduled off. My supervisor told me it could change, due to one of the people using upa bit of time for medical reasons. However, the chances of me getting that to happen is slim at best.

If I was able to take a pic of it not only would I post them - but I would be thankful that my phone wasnt at the bottom of the pond. Might also be time to check and see if that Clic brake needs to be fixed. Spoiler alert - I'm guessing it does...

 

Interesting that the company Sprint uses for their insurance claims shipped out my replacement phone last night and it will be here by noon today already.

Thankfully it was right on the edge. I was lucky I think in that it was at a part where it just runs into the water vs dropping off over a stone wall - that could have really been a show.

 

Actually I think I'm most thankful that there was no one else around.
