Unfortunately. As I told Fabb last night, when I realized the keys/wallet had stayed shut inside the lid, the thing I was most worried about was my Congressional ball marker - that same type/brand you bought at Caves. It wasnt until I actually got to my next shot that I realized my phone/rangefinder had been in the mesh.

Rumor has it that contractors can now bring civilians on base at Pax River. Now I just have to get some of you dingii to drive down and play. Bonus would be if we could somehow do it on a weekday when the jets are landing 50 yards from you.

How would the Navy feel if two men showed up offshore in a commandeered crabbing boat out of Crisfield carrying golf bags? What if one of them has a vaguely Middle Eastern look and beard? Would they shoot him first, then feel so bad about it they'd allow the second one to play golf for free? And they would probably just wound the first guy anyway right, so they could interrogate him later? And then they'd all have a good natured laugh over the mixup and let him play too right?

Played what I think was my worst round ever today. Didn't break 110! I shanked at least 7 shots. I'm coming over the top now and I don't know wtf happened. Really gotta get my s*** together.

 

I've been hoping you're with my group for the VE at WW. After reading your post, I still feel exactly the same. Who knows what City will do with the pairings tho.

 

Don't you dare do what you might be thinking about doing and back out. I'm not the only one from this crew who wants to meet/play with the NotoriousJKC.

I've also been toying around with the idea of switching to some softer flex and better feeling shafts than my C-Tapers. But I'm afraid if I go to anything lighter than my current 130X C Tapers, I'll have extremely high swingweight clubs (currently at d4).

 

Also, getting rid of the midsize grips on the irons.

Everyone knows if it's 90* in San Juan, it's 61* and partly cloudy in Richmond, and therefore 53* and overcast in DC.

Standard length IIRC. Thought about Nippon Modus, SPB and even SPO. I'm trying not to dig down after balls anymore, so I'm not sure if a super stout, super low spin shaft is a necessity anymore as it is to have something a little more forgiving and better feel.

Went out to the Beck last night to play a few holes. The parking lot was pretty full when I pulled in around 4:15, but the course was empty. I went off of 10 and I only saw one other group out on the back 9. Love that. I played 10 - 14 and then back up 13 playing 3 or 4 balls off of the tee and into the green. Then did some putting at each green. Found a groove with the driver again by focusing on tempo and a smooth transition. I think I got quick a lot last week at Hobbit's. I hit some really nice balls off the tee with hybrid as well. You don't really need a driver on the back 9 until hole 15. I liked the yardages that hybrid was leaving me in on 10, 13, & 14. I am going to try that strategy the next full round.

 

I also put a different putter in the bag. My old Taylormade Mezza Monza. I think I will eventually go back to the Odyssey, but I needed something different to look at. I felt comfortable and hit a bunch of good putts last night. The Taylormade will stay for a little while at least.

Totally unrelated to any of this discussion, except maybe Kent's post, but I stopped by the beach yesterday in Destin, FL. Amazing. White sand, green water. They have a number of good golf courses in the area, but I didn't have time for golf. Apparently it's a huge fishing spot too. Potential vacation destination for sure.
