It's impressive, it just isn't golf, and i can't stand how often TGC airs the stuff. Show golf, please and thank you.

 

Now, it'd be cool to have these folks play a round of golf. That I'd watch.

 

I would like to argue a point my good sir.

 

The female that hit 340 plays stock driver and just came out on a whim to try out. I believe she is on tour or mini tour

I would agree about following a group playing a course would be entertaining and awesome to see.

 

A dude just had to hit 40 yards to win and it took the last ball (425) but 1 out 4 ain't good odds on a course.

I played baseball. I love watching baseball. But I'll still watch home run derby highlights even though its not baseball. No matter how good I got, I was never going to be able to hit a baseball 500+ feet, regardless of how slow/fast the pitches were.

Why would you want to watch that on TV? If you go out and play with PQ, you get a helping of REMAX-esque drives plus a side PGA-esque complaints about putts that lip out.

WLD is sooooo lame. I honestly do not understand the appeal of it. It's the NASCAR element of golf. That head flying into the crowd was like a tire flying into the stands in NASCAR. Cool.

 

So the guy who swings the fastest and hits it the farthest in the thread doesn't understand why mere mortals would enjoy watching other people do what they cant? No kidding...(/s)

 

I really like watching the guys like Sadlowski that had more "golf-like" swings. I don't think he's done anything in his mini tour starts and honestly don't know if he's even still out there. But I'll still DVR/watch it. I get why people might not like it though.

 

Look I'm all for as much golf coverage as possible...but what exactly are they going to show on the Tuesday night after Labor Day weekend at 9p? Another showing of Tin Cup? I think in the slot leading up to it they had a replay of the Boston final round. I at least give them props for having some sort of live golf programming.

 

Watch it now. Don't dare say anything bad about Tin Cup.

 

Show "classic" rounds. Instruction. Shell's. Replays. WLD would probably be more fun to see in person, but on TV it's just a great somnogenic.

 

Sad lowdown can golf his ball. I suspect most of those folks have some skills on the course. Maybe a Mr. And Mrs. Golf Universe Pageant would be more entertaining. Long drive. 18 holes. Sing a song. Get dressed up. Wait, that's the Big Break.

Best hole of the round so far on #7. 3w then 6i to middle of the green since the pun was blocked out. Lipped the 30 footer and easy tap in. Good two putt from 40ish feet on #8. Not striking it great, but missing it thin and straight.

Hit a little cafe in Bethany Beach (pie) for lunch after a short day on the beach. Made my wife laugh, my son choke on his beer and my daughter in law speechless. The waitress was taking drink orders and I said "I'd like a reach around!" She just smiled. Has probably heard it a million times. But, how often can you ask a pretty, young lady for a reach around without getting slapped, punched, or arrested?
