Took the day of to terminate a few groundhogs today. I came home and started cleaning up the garage(which means the wife wants some clubs gone). The list below is what I have and need to go. More 3 &4 woods than I remembered having and will not list them because there is to many.

Irons:

Mizzuno T-Zoid P thru 1 iron forged

Adams CB-1 P thru 6 iron forged

Hogan Edge P thru 3 iron forged

Taylor Made R-7 P thru 3 iron

Cobra Comp P thru 4

Putters:

Bettinardi AO1

Ray Cook Classic IV

Never Compromise SUB 30AZ

Ray Cook Precise P505

Ping B63

Odyssey White Ice 6

Tear Drop Roll Face

Ping 1/2 Craz-e

Found 3 different 1 iron one of which looks like a hydrid put is 20 years old, well before hydrid were on the market. Have to many drivers to list. Need to sort Drivers, hydrid's, Tight lies and woods of all kinds. If you want any of this stuff let me know.

And what kind of course "decorates" their course for tournaments? Found that odd. Wish I snapped a pic of the turkey/volcano/octopus. We were so distracted 4 of us missed a 10 footer for birdie.

Asks for invite back, then insults course for decorating for an event?

Missed putt because paint on grass was too distracting?

And what kind of course "decorates" their course for tournaments? Found that odd. I love when a course gets into the theme for a tournament. Painted approaches to greens really adds to the architectural points of the golf hole I never would of noticed without abstract art. It made playing the hole so much more enjoyable. I wish all courses would do this simple yet effective method to please its patrons! Wish I snapped a pic of the turkey/volcano/octopus. We were so distracted 4 of us missed a 10 footer for biride the turkey/octopus painting significantly helped feature front right bunker like the architect originally designed!

I dont question Norbecks decision to do Hawaiian night, but they need to commit. If I have a golf course with a Hawaiian night, Im getting an ACTUAL VOLCANO. None of this painted on the grass nonsense. I may have to have my golf course somewhere other than Montgomery County though, since they probably have some regulation against volcanos.

I actually noticed at Hobbits last year and at Turf this year, painted decorations for golf tournaments.

You guys know that "terminate a few groundhogs" is old school slang for bopping the bishop.

Kent - look into global golf. I've been very happy with the process and their business. Email off list if you want advice on it.

I do not like the "get sums" at first go. But I'm going to give them more opportunities.

Controlling your mind is crucial.

Amen, brother. I think controlling your mind is one of the hardest to accomplish, and most rewarding things in golf. The concept is simple - focus on the process of executing the shot at hand, while mentally detaching yourself from thoughts of the potential outcome. Actually accomplishing that is so damn hard, though. I'm generally better about that in the long game than the short game. It's generally pretty easy for me to just go through my routine and hit a driver, or an iron without worrying about the outcome. It gets harder to keep that same focus as I get closer to the hole, since expectations of holing the shot start to creep into my mind. It's all a bit fleeting, too. Some rounds feel very zen, and other times I can just come totally unhinged.

It's important to think target. Etc. You can definitely "think" your way to a certain level of confidence or fear.

Also gold. I always try to focus on the shot I want to hit, not all the shots I can't hit. You can't be standing over the ball going, "Ok, there's water left so I can't miss it there. I don't want to come up short because there's a bunker. Long makes for a tough up and down. Etc." I try to consider those things when I'm picking my club and target, and then flush them out of my mind. It actually drives me kind of nuts when I ask a playing partner for advice on a shot I'm uncertain about because I'm playing somewhere new, and they start rattling off all the places not to hit it. All I want to know is how far, and where I'm supposed to try and hit it.

Always the way I think. Where is the best place to hit it and then forget any trouble. Always see the positive shot.

Whatever Zen golf is, I'm the opposite of that.

For reals though, I don't think it hurts to react to the results of a shot. We're human beings. I've been known to whine and release a little wispy rage from time to time. As long as you're not thinking about the result while you're trying to execute the shot, or while you're trying to play your next shot, it's no biggie.

So, I found this tee on the golf course yesterday.

It was beautiful. I was like, "i'm not playing this tee".

Showed it to my wife when I got home and she was like, "oh that's really nice. Do you use tees like that?"

I have no idea who made a tee like that, or who uses it. There was an outing out there yesterday and I found a bunch of scattered tees all over.

Saw that on the gram. Is it a two piece situation? IE would you buy 100 of the pegs and it comes with ten tops? Love them but I bet they are way more $$$ than I'd want to spend on tees.

Well, that's $7.00 (when you include shipping) for 50 tees.

That ain't cheap. I didn't even bother to google/amazon them as Fabb did.

I don't understand tee-engineering well enough to understand how these claims are true, "Pride’s Insignia Golf Tees generate 80 Percent less waste than a traditional golf tee - making it the most environmentally friendly tee in the market. And they are 30 Percent stronger than traditional 1-piece wood tees."

Are we talkin' about tees? C'mon guys.

I tried to get a little golfy with the zen mental state post, but it didn't stick. It would appear golf tees are the more compelling topic of discussion this morning.

On that note, I prefer environmentally harmful plastic tees. They're not cheap either, but they basically never break, so a single pack lasts a very long time.

Let's get back to Zen. I'm trying to learn.

$7/50 is actually less than I spent on their other plastic tees. But then again, like Nerf, I don't think I've broken any this year. I'll lose one occasionally. But I bought a box last March ('16) and its probably still 3/4 full. They don't look as good though.

I've never bought a plastic tee in my life, yet I have about 10 of them in my bag.

As long as I don't use them on par 3's (and why would you use your own tee on a par 3?) they seem to last forever. There are some kinds of plastic tees that too bendy, and some that are too rigid and snap just like wood tees.

But, a couple companies have found that sweet spot and they last forever as long as you can find them.

I've listened to Zen Golf several times. It has definitely made a difference for me in at least one area but the whole thing, to me, is hard to get through if you're re-listening to it. Good CD for the 4 hour drive to Pinehurst though.

One of the reviewers on amazon said that you can hit the tops right off those two piece tees.
