I think both of these are great ideas. I play over 99% of my rounds at the club where I have my membership but I like to play golf when I travel which is about 6-12 rounds of golf/year. It would be wonderful to find booking discounts or a way to narrow potential golfing partners. Other than that, I look to see if more people add in my area. There are only a half dozen or so who pop up as nearby.

Cool idea. We need a better way to find local golfers though. I would really like to see a search feature for courses, or at least by city. Most people play the same courses so if we can somehow search and look for others on the same course it'd be much more reliable.

I actually already had this app on my phone. I posted a message to find more players in my area but no response at all after about a month. The app just doesn't have enough users to be useful right now. The problem is the entire concept requires a large active user base that just doesn't exist at the moment.

I think once it catches on more, the locality issue will solve itself to some degree. It's a very cool idea and will help a lot of us who tend to not have anybody to play with, and can help with networking and meeting up with new players. Thanks!

This app has a lot of potential. Starting out, it needs a main page instead of what it has right now. The "News" page doesn't make any sense for an App like this. The main page needs to give you your options.

1. Friends/News - This will show the "news" of people you've become friends with over the site and their posts

2. Local courses - This option should allow people to choose courses in their area that they play. Instead of searching for players and matches, you should search for common courses. Then when you see who plays that course, contact the people that play there.

3. Matches/Tournaments - This should show any tournaments in the area or any good matches that anyone wants to post about. The Matches of course not being USGA, but still people can post if they have a group that plays consistently on the weekends and are welcome to more people.

4. Golfer Search - Search the app for specific golfer names/age/handicap/etc. It shouldn't be just based on name. I'm trying to meet new people. How am I supposed to know their names?

The user needs to be able to enter the app and find people close to them immediately. The current structure has made it difficult for me to find that. (However, it could be my location and the fact that no one in the south has really signed up yet). But I think if you created that main page and allowed searching by common courses played and made it less by the person, it would help bring strangers together.

Thanks for making another killer giveaway. Hopefully this helps some with the app. I'll keep it on my phone and continue to check it, but unfortunately at this time it doesn't appear that anyone in Alabama has it as well. I'll spread it around though.
