I like the app but it would be pretty cool if there was a "Courses Played" section in the profiles. You could connect with people and ask them about the courses you're considering playing before you decide to spend the money to play.

Love the app - my favorite part is people posting pictures of local courses - gives my ideas for golf vacations (Utah courses look gorgeous)

Agree with others about the location specific filtering - with each user being allowed to specify a location and range or even tag certain courses.

I absolutely love this app, being that I'm hooked on golf right now it makes me happy to see fellow golfers post pics of their game and share stories with us. Can't say I would change much other than being able to buy tee times with tee off or golf now. This app is truely amazing and motivates me to improve my game. Would love to see the pros on here and follow them just like a tweeter. Thanks Golfmatch keep up the good work. Can't wait to win those irons.

I'm also a big user of the app. I've promoted it in every random group I've been in as well and everyone who has downloaded it has told me they also really like it.

What I like best is to be able to post up if I'm looking to play at whatever date and time, I might find some GM users who will play with me. I'd really like to see a scorecard on there though with handicap calculator implemented. Most people I've played with, I've found don't know their handicap. This is all fine, but the Profile section could benefit from having your past scores and how you've improved since joining GM.

I'd really like to see an option to look at who has posted based on course. I live in a small area with only a few courses around that aren't more than a 1-2 hour drive. So it'd be nice to see who wants to play at the courses I play most often to make new friends locally.

Got a chance to cruise thru this app - seems like a good idea - would also like to see some more local bunched updates - have the main golf feed broken into sections - local, pro-tips, and then photos and updates from the rest of the users. More users needed especially out west here! Maybe link the app into other apps like GolfShot ect for handicap and scorecard postings. Trying to find a reason to use it more often - until there are some more users it might be hit or miss. Nice start however.

I have been using the app and I like its layout and feed with pics and videos etc. I wish though that we could add international courses when tagging courses played.

love the app and all the course pictures i get to see. i'd love to see one thing changed though. instead of average score, people should have to put in their handicap. this is if your home course is bethpage black and your average score is 84, youre a significantly better player than if youre average score is even 79 on bethpage yellow. if they don't have a handicap, let golfmatch calculate it for them by offering an integration w/ diablo/stracka/thegrint. and then for those pros who are on golfmatch, let them choose "professional" for average score, so we know how good they are right then and there. great case in point is i was chatting with what turned out to be a pro on golfmatch, but was shocked to see he was a pro when his average score was listed as 80. something doesn't add up there.

so my big recco is to change average score to handicap, and for those users who don't already keep a handicap, have a "sign up" option through one of the above mentioned tracking services.

This is a great idea for an app. I think 2 things are needed for it to go to the next level. The most obvious is more users. The other is the ability to reserve tee times with other users. That would make it even easier to setup a round with random people.

I have a beer app that you get badges for different things, my friends and I compete for the most badges. I think that could be a cool feature for this app. Play so many rounds get a badge, play different courses, different states and countries, etc. I always like some to add a type of competition

A cool option would be to have a check list of courses, times, and skill levels that would be your playing preference.The app would then match players with similar preferences and suggest a round. The perfect "match" would have the app suggest a 4 some.

The next thing would be a ranking of other people, kind of like an e-bay review, whether or not that person is a sandbagger or not. Or is generally a nice person to play with.

Interesting App. Features I'd like to see:

There isn't enough events going on in our area... so growing user base will be important in delivering higher level of function.

Enhanced sorting options when looking for matches. I think you need to list by proximity to location, but allow filtering based on game type (stroke/match etc.) and/or if betting is involved. I think use could grow if you could search for money games, friendlies, scramble events etc.

If you could get golf courses to participate by posting their events that are open to the public, charity events they are hosting etc. that'd be awesome as well. Friends and I often are looking for scramble tournaments etc. to play in, but there isn't a consolidated place to see what events are going on in our area, so that makes it difficult.

Needs more matches in your area, it is great that people are looking for matches but it doesn't help much if they are 1000 miles away.

The app so far is great and first off thanks Peter for creating such a good app. I would say defintely have a better filter for golfers in your area, also I think the people you follow should be the first to pop up onto your news feed. I love that your able to tag golfers and golf courses, also if there is a way to create notifications that pop up onto your phone so you know when someone comments or follows you etc.....

Loving the App so far. Really enjoy being able to browse and see player pics of all these amazing courses. I also heavily rely on user reviews when choosing a new course so I am definitely looking forward to reading some more!

The things that I would change have already been mentioned in this thread

1) localized feed
2) some more filters
3) list courses played and how well/bad (score implemented)
4) ability to read a review and then book a tee time at that said course
5) ability to track your handicap would be nice
6) somewhere down the road maybe add a gps function
7) maybe have a one time fee of $10 in order to gain access to features ( gps, track handicap etc)

just some thoughts!

All in all, love the app and look forward to seeing what it has in store for us in the future!

I would like to be able to search for golfers by location. Either I enter a zip code, city, Golf course etc., so I could message them.

No matches within 90 miles of me.

Needs more users and could be interesting.

I really enjoy golfmatch as a social media platform -- eg following golfers' rounds and practice sessions, seeing what the pros are up to -- I just wish some of the features from the old golfmatch app were retained. I'd love to be able to still post a specific match and invite people. I also would like to have a map view of matches in my area. While I like the social media integration, it's gone too far in that direction and abandoned to utility as a format to arrange matches.
