Hi can someone please give me some info on these Wilson irons what year they were made in and what model

I bought this set of Trade Me which is a New Zealand version of eBay set is 2 iron to Pw

Best I can do at the moment is Staff Fluid Feel remakes around mid 1980s I think.

I know who the parent company is but Wilson is to Staff what GM is to Cadillac or Toyota is to Lexus, lol.

Wilson made golf clubs for little boys and Staff's are not toys for boys

The faces are in good shape as well not sure what to do with the shaft with the chrome missing

Gorgeous irons there! I'm not much of an expert on Wilson but do you think they are remakes? I thought those would have been the actual irons issued by Wilson for that year, not remakes of a previous model. Just nit-picking... lol
You really can't go wrong with irons like that. They're every bit as "valid" as $1500 worth of modern blades.

Beautiful irons!

1987 Wilson Staff "Fluid Feel" iron model, with "W/S" crest.

Wilson had been offering remakes of their 1969 "Bulletback" and 1971 "Buttonback" Dynapower iron models in 1986.
These irons featured the Drill-thru hosel with "Fluid Feel" stamps, and red button hosel plugs.

These Wilson Staff "Fluid Feel" models were the last link to the Dynapower Fluid Feel model line which went from 1957-1975.
The original "Fluid Feel" plugs were black, and then became red.

The "W/S" crest was on the RH Staff Fluid Feel models only.

Apparently the LH Staff Fluid Feel iron models were from a different supplier, and did not have access to the "W/S" crest stamp, so NONE of the '87-'88 LH Staff Fluid Feel iron models have the "W/S" crest, even though the first LH Wilson Staff Gooseneck models have it.

Sadly, Wilson Golf no longer offers access to their custom records....even if you own iron sets with custom stamp numbers.

Nice grab you won't be disappointed playing with them.Of the 3 sets of classic irons I have they play real close to my FG 62s.

I have a set of these with red band on shafts. I think that black (regular) and red (stiff) bands for shaft flex. Do you know the shaft flex of these, I can not see the shaft bands.

Mine have the red band on the shaft you are correct the band is a stiff flex
I will try and put some more pictures of the irons up this weekend

Just to confirm, so that I'm not misunderstanding. You're referring to the thin painted 'line' on Staff irons? Not the shaft label (i.e. band) itself?

Yes the thin line that is painted on the shaft.

Me again here are some close up photos
What should I do with the shafts with the chrome missing from the shaft replace the shafts or spray WD40 on the rust or rust kill
As you can see the shafts have the red band on them .

That rust just looks like surface rust where the chrome layer has peeled away and exposed the raw metal underneath. In my experience, it has no detrimental effect, other than cosmetic. I say clean it off with some Barkeepers Friend and put a coat of wax over it or WD40 to prevent the rust from coming back. It won't be the shiny metal like the rest of the shaft but will eliminate some of the rust coloration.
