Anyone Looking for a Regular Group to Play With?

I love playing alone for a lot of my rounds, but can't shake the feeling that it would be fun to have a regular group to play with a couple of times a month (once the season gets going again here). As a transplant, all of my friends who play live in the South or Northeast, so my group rounds at this point are always reserved for vacations or miniature reunions.

Anyone else feel the same way and want a regular group with a regular rotation of courses to play? If so, we should work to get something going! It's been talked about a few times on here, although in larger form, but I've never seen it materialize.

Let me know if this sounds like something you'd be interested in. I'm in the Denver area and normally play the Aurora courses as well as Riverdale...so you get the idea that I'm willing to drive a good distance for a round.

I live by Murphy Creek. hit me up. I would be down for a round or two to get the rust off since I play a lot the Aurora courses and Riverdale is one of my favorites.

You should definitely check out the Golfweek Amateur Tour. Awesome group of guys that plays a couple times a month at some great courses here around Denver. Skins games to keep it interesting and it's all flighted out so you play with guys at your level. I've been playing for about 4 years now and love it.

I was going to suggest either joining the Murphy Creek/Saddle Rock men's club or joining a traveling golf league. There are three such leagues that I know about. I like the latter because I usually only have time to play golf about 10-12 times per year; I like variety and they do all the legwork.

I've contemplated the Murphy Creek league, especially since I play there often. The issue is that I love early rounds, and am usually in the first or second group off. Given that I'll be a dad sooner rather than later (if things go according to plan) then I'll need to continue that trend.

Similar situation here, transplant from the east and don't know anyone out here that (regularly) plays golf. I work in Aurora, so I generally try to sneak in a weekly 6AM round before work at one of their courses. Wife and I just had our first child last fall, so I too will likely be sticking to that schedule for a while.

Was at Murphy Creek yesterday hitting balls. Picked up a men's club form just in case. Seems like the other places I was looking at this year are full "potentially". Either way was nice to get out and hit some balls off the grass and not mats.

Nice! Good for you. I've been traveling for a month, but have been in Dallas staying at the Westin Stonebriar, which has a course connected to it. Haven't had any time to play, but I did get a couple of range sessions in hitting off of grass as well. Clubs were nothing like my set at home...but it was just good to shake some rust off.
