Not sure if you Miura lovers have seen the newly released CB 1008 from Miura Giken. Man, maybe i should have waited and got these instead of my Yoro MP 5s....

 

I love the lines of this iron. The look is just classic and simple.

Hit them for the first time in the course yesterday. All i can say is this combo is GREAT! Only complain i can think if is that the topline is bit too thick for my liking. Oh! n the modus 125 is heavy. Really really good shaft but heavy.....

 

The CB1008 is really forgiving for my swing n the feel is just sweet. soft yet dense. Highly recommend it!

Top line is thick? Wow really? Doesn't look anymore thicker than the CB 57.

Top and face look pretty similar to my LH blades. So for anyone saying they would buy them just for the looks, you should! haha.

 

The cavity cut is really nice looking too.. I'd like to order just a 3/4i in cavity back to go with my set.

I believe it would be considered a muscle back but not a full blade. Such as the mp 64, the titleist CB, cobra king forged Cb, or the many iron types out there similar in nature??

Discernibly a CB; Miura has no problem distinguishing their MB.

I think in the flesh this is definitely going to look a CB . Offset , top line will be distinguishing characteristics .

I hate to sound like I'm regurgitating TMAG but I think a muscle cavity is a fair classification for this model .

Similar models from Srixon and Mizuno exist in their current line ups .

Agreed, I think that this may be the best blend of players cb, with a blade-like mass behind the sweet spot that I have seen. I have the mb 001 and have a demo 6 iron of the cb 57. The mb 001 are now in danger of being replaced if these have the same feel, with forgiveness of the cb 57. Difficult to demo here in the U.S. so looking forward to hearing more on how these play and feel. Thanks to all on this site who have turned me on to Miura in the first place.

The more I come back to this thread, the more they grow on me. I've never been a huge miura fan. So this is conflicting.

Even price is attractive, $900 for 5-P heads. You could pretty much do any shaft and grip combo and still be at $1,200. That's a far better value for choice options, quality, and tolerances than any OEM I know of.

That is exactly what I am going to do. Order those heads and have them built by the local Miura builder. Will probably take a few weeks for that to happen. I'll chime in when they've had some time in the dirt

I'm still waiting to see if Miura will release a Nicklaus model in the future .

There was talk and speculation of it when he visited the Miura factory and started gaming the CB57s .

That'd be an interesting piece. Would be pretty cool if they only made a 1000 sets though IMO. Not commercialize it.

That's similar to saying that any Air Jordan shoe won't sell in the next 20 years. If it were a limited edition, you'd probably never see one.

 

If Miura did a J.N edition on limited sets.....it would break the internet faster than when Nike crapped out their "oven" protos last year.
