The New England PGA has a waaaaaaay better deal, with really top line courses.

It's puts the Boston MGA days to shame.

Essex County Club

Myopia

Belmont

Worcester

Clubs the average person can't or won't ever play.

Great courses for sure. How do you quantify "way better deal" @ double and triple the green fee? + membership fee

MGA days best deal around. So popular there is lottery for some of the dates

But all 2nd class courses, most of which are accessible.

Try getting on Myopia, Belmont, Worcester or Essex ... it's not easy. I can count on one hand, the # of PGA Pros I know, who have played Myopia. This is likely a one shot deal at Myopia, because BIll Safrin is going to be retiring this year.

Woods hole pocasset and Renaissance on both lists but not same fee

Doubtful many agree with you calling Wianno acoaxcet or Indian pond 2nd class

Suggest you take a mulligan on the "way better deal" stuff

Fine. I'll change to:

The New England Series offers significantly better golf courses than MGA Member Days and a way better organization to deal with.

& now you're back on my blocked list.

Well that escalated quickly. I will have to take a look at the New England pga stuff. Thanks for the info guys.

The MGA Member Days are almost all at courses the general public can plan. Some of the courses are 9 Holers and many aren't in great condition.

The New England Series are mostly Private Courses and all 18 Holes. 4 of which have been rated in the Top 100 in the USA. 5 or 6 of which, are nearly impossible to play.

Are these events capped, or do you only join the waitlist?

I see a LOT of clubs I'd love to play, and others I occasionally get on to (RICC, Shelter Harbor, Carnegie Abbey, etc...).

Prices are sort of steep for some (but it's no different than a round at an exclusive resort), but may just be worth it to go to a couple, if reg is open to any member, or if there is already a waitlist for them all.
