So I left my rangefinder in the cart yesterday...

Title explains it. Hopefully it'll turn up soon since the people at my country club aren't the type of people to take someone else's rangefinder. I asked the cart guys and in the pro shop and they hadn't seen it yet. In the case that it doesn't show up, what are some ideas for a solid rangefinder? I was using a Simmons that I found on sale at a hunting store and it got the job done when there were reflectors but it wasn't the best. I'd rather not buy one like the one they let me borrow today that was retailing for about 700. I'd like the 200-300 range (cheaper if possible but doubtful), but really I just want a good rangefinder as it's something that is pretty important to a round of golf in my opinion.

Can't go wrong with Bushnell or leupold, but I have this cheap one and I haven't had any issues with it. One of my buddies has a bushnell v3 and the readings are pretty much always identical or within 1y +/-

I like the Bushnell for sure. How does yours do with pins that have no reflectors?

Bushnell V3 Patriot Package. And, buy some name labels for your shafts and you can use one of the extra ones on your rangefinder.

Leupold has 6x scope magnification. I remember this being higher than Busnell's offerings.

No prisms at my home course, only time I've had issues was on rainy or foggy days from 200y+. Other than that I'd say its pretty easy to lock onto the pin

I recommend Leopold. In my opinion it has the best optics and target acquisition. Not to mention the best and lifetime warranty.

Golf buddy LR5s can be had for $260 with price match from Amazon. I've used it for 3 rounds so far. And it's been a phenomenal rangefinder for me.

Last month I replaced my Bushnell V2 with a Nikon Coolshot 20. The Nikon has 6x magnification, great battery life, pin seeker style electronics, very small so I put it in my pocket, and is waterproof. I paid $140 at Golf Galaxy.

After watching the video above I am definitely considering this one. Since I have my rangefinder that I thought I lost I'm not in too much of a rush to buy one, but if a solid option pops up on the BST for a good price I probably would go ahead and pick one up. I used search and unfortunately I missed out on some good prices on some V2's and even V3's. I guess we will see what happens!

I have the Bushnell V3 and anyone I play with that uses it ALWAYS compliments how cool the Jolt tech in it is. I really feel like it's the best one out there next to the V4 that they are releasing, or already have as well as the other one that has slope and nonslope in it.

I heard the V3 is actually better than the V4.
