Not a surprise. She's not healthy and hasn't been for quite some time. Apparently, the docs said surgery won't help her thumb, only rest.

Makes sense.

I wish she would have taken time off before this and gone into the HOF properly instead of start and WDing for a couple weeks to get the amount of starts. Hope she gets healthy and comes back healthy. Won't hurt anything having another player who is as good as she is... and I'm not a big fan but appreciate her and her game.

I suspect Inbee will hang it up for good after the Olympics, whether she plays there or not.

What actually makes a top golfer retire? Yes - injury if it doesn't improve, but what if she becomes trouble-free?

Starting a family...? Just plain "had enough"?

Against that, she's well capable of going out and earning quite a bit more money if that interests here.

The few times she's played this year, Judy Rankin has mentioned on multiple occasions during telecasts that she and her husband want to start a family.

Inbee turns 28 this summer, she's now a HOF, and has accomplished pretty much everything a female golfer can accomplish.

When is it enough for anyone?

Not everyone is motivated primarily by money. Lucky if you're one of those people...

Good point. Wonder had she married some white collar guy , would she still have hung it up ..

Lorena was able to attract that calibre of big fish, and she certainly hasn't turned into an Eva Peron.

(sorry, I still miss Lorena, she was such a great player and still is a great person with an infectious giggle)

That being said, Lorena did not see enough reason to get enough starts, complete the time requirement to get into the Hall.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
