University Ridge or The General

Group of guys and I are trying to deiced between the two courses to play.

 

No one in the group has played either course so we are looking for a recommendation.

I haven't played The General but U-Ridge is one of my favs in Wisconsin.

Never played u ridge.

 

Just did the first 11 holes of the general and loved it. Awesome course, great elevation.

I've played both, and I'd give the nod to University Ridge. 'Mind you, The General is no slouch.

 

If you love elevation changes, then The General is the course to choose.

It is a good golf course. Lots of variety between holes and the wind can make it a very tough course to score on the back. It has one of the hardest par 4s I have played (#17).

 

The staff is awesome there and the course is in great shape when we play. Definitely recommend it.

Haven't played The General. You can't go wrong with U-Ridge though.

I'm also in Rockford and enjoy both courses, but I have to vote for University Ridge. However if you can find a discounted rate on the General then I would go that route.
