I'm liking Mo Martin. Just plays with a lot of heart. Short off the tee, but a ton of grit!

TB did you literally just switch channels from NBC to TGC and keep rolling? Did you at least stop on the NC-Kentucky game along the way?

I kept rolling. I'm channel surfing. I'm downstairs flipping every 5 minutes. Mrs. TB doesn't have control down here. Until she does. :)

Very solid win by Mirim. I'm scratching my head a bit here. The 54 hole leader closing the deal in fashion two weeks in a row. Wha? Of course, the chasers didn't put up much of a fight, so with little pressure Mirim put it into cruise control. MJ and In Gee just didn't have anything in the tank today. So Yeon was just too far back to start the day to give a serious challenge. She should be a top pick for the ANA though.

When the third round leader post a -7 in the final round it does tend to end the fight rather quickly.

Wow... congrats Mirim! Very happy for her. It was a really powerful field, and she came out on top with authority. Glad for her to shine.

So Yeon, from danger of missing the cut to being the only chaser with a shot to win. And what an outfit!

4waymiss had asked why no love for Kerr, and for me it completely is the reputed mean-ness and unwelcoming. I admire that she's still such a force, and is very accomplished. Honestly, on paper and on course she sounds like a just flat out amazing personage. Family, business, still a big golf star. I'd love to be able to cheer for her, but can't for someone who treats others badly.

I was totally cheering for MJ. Just crushed for her if she was feeling disappointed and dispirited, few times wanted to give her a big hug. That darn silver medal effect. I was glad to see the snippet at the end it looked like So Yeon had her arm and In Gee was talking her up. Hope she comes away feeling good with the great result and contending, thrilled to see her playing so well lately.

What a fickle game this is! Mirim can't buy a win last year and here she is destroying the field with four flawless rounds. And she might not win again this year...

The two "teenage sensations" of last season don't make the cut. Amy Yang gets cut and Ha Na down to 65th. Anna Nordqvist gets 25th.

I may bet a thousand on a bet this time

One minute later I can't cover your dime

Tomorrow night I might be over the hill.....

Mirim was at -16 after 6 holes, having birdied 3 of her first six. A great start no doubt. MJ birdied 3 and 4, but bogied 6, and was still only 3 shots back. That was pretty much it for her, as additional bogies on 9 and 12 put her out of contention. In Gee was 4 back after 6 holes, and another birdie at 7 brought her top within 3 with nine to play. However, her back nine was birdie free. MJ's and In Gee's three putt bogies on #9 pretty much allowed Mirim to coast on the back nine, where she parred the first 5 holes. Had they stayed within 3 shots, maybe they force Mirim to play a little more aggressively. As it is, she was (wisely) firing at the middle of the greens.

Agreed. I believe just about half way through she dialed it back to, "play not to lose mode" because she had such a large cushion. I believe they call it, "boring golf."

Maybe more should play this "boring" golf that is -4 for the last 12 holes then?
