Watching Rosaforte this morning was like watching a Death Head sitting on top of an expensive suit - eerie.

I am pretty agnostic on Rosie, but I will say that he is awfully damn proud to be in the "mix" with the playas.

He's like the high-school nerd who rushes to sign up for team manager of the varsity basketball team so he can rub shoulders with the people he thinks are 'important.' 99% of these people grow up to be sports journalists, and none of them lose that poster-on-the-wall fanaticism about all things professional athlete. They actually seem to think that being afforded special access to a supposed higher form of the species has, through the property of transference or something, turned them from a weak-dick imp into something they can be proud of.

Sidenote:

Montys swing, as my first post shows, has not changed at all since his walker cup days as a 16 year old which further dispels the myth the reverse C is hard on the back…

Monty, Jack and Johnny Miller were the swings I emulated my entire life and I've never so much is had a twinge in my back..

When Monty was public enemy #1 during those 90s Ryder Cup spats, I felt like I understood what he was all about. That's proven to be true some 20 years later because he's the same guy, in a less heated atmosphere, and he shines on GC.

 

Two fantastic swings in that Shell challenge, huh!? The game was so easy for Phil back then, maybe he was just bored about how good he was, and didn't buckle down on the finer points of shaving strokes when it counted the most.. Monty should have won one US Open at least. He was one over/under-cooked approach shot away a couple times.

Oh...Brandel's suit for Master's Saturday is on point :good:

Rosaforte is a stiff blob, as far as I'm concerned. ZERO personality. LOVE Colin. Guy has Rosaforte beat as a TV personality all day, every day. GO Montgomerie!

 

Am I the only one, or does Tim Rosaforte seem to very much dislike Colin Montgomerie? No laughing at Colin's funny quips, no agreement with his observations - Seems Rosaforte would much prefer to be on a different set than the one he's sharing with the rising broadcast star of Colin Montgomerie...

 

 

Of course, I don't think I'd enjoy sitting at the pool next to Brad Pitt either... I can only suck in my gut for so long.
