The classic is not the most forgiving. Try the 440cc variant. I just reshafted it with a Crime of Angel California shaft and its given this head another wind.

Is this a low spin driver? On the Epic SZ, I've tuned that baby up from 9.5* to 11*. So should I do the 10.5*? Also can this be hit off the deck and maybe leave the 3W at home?

It's lower launching, definitely.

 

I believe it is low spin as well, but I've never cared to get the numbers.

 

I'd get the 10.5°. But then again, I'm a bit biased as the launch from this combo with a Kai'li 80X is damn near perfect to my eye.

 

I can not hit it off the fairway. Not a shot in my arsenal. I barely grab the 3 Wood for off-the-deck approaches. I try to stay within myself and reach for no more than a 2 Hybrid (18°).

Without a doubt. My dispersion from a 440CC Driver to the 350CC A-Grind is night and day. If my dispersion with the 460CC was 120 yards from left to right, my dispersion with the A-Grind would be 40-50 yards. Theres no comparison here. Distance? ... On a mis-hit, I can lose up to 25 yards. I average about 290 with the A-Grind at 43.50" at Sea Level. On a mis-hit, a heel struck drop kick, I'll get 260 out of it. I just bank it in my head as a well struck 3 Wood from the tee. Lol. And then I'll work on it after the round or at a later point in time.

If you are COMMITTED to trying a sub 400CC Driver, and you limit your expectations going in, you won't be disappointed here.

 

 

 

... Do not expect to jump into the A-Grind 350 and gain 7 yards over your Epic or M1. But do expect to hit 2-3 more fairways per round and only sacrifice a handful of meaningless yards.

so far so good I’d say. On a good strike definitely as long as the Epic I’ve had before. Less forgiving but more workable. Looks are killer tho. Definitely worth a try if you can get one for a decent price online

Its not definitely a goner, but I've had three interesting transactions pop up.

 

I've had it for 9 months. I love it, but if someone was interested I could be tempted to move it. I don't have much spare for sale.

I would suggest the yonex ezone 380. Had one with a little hotmelt and hit the longest drive of my life with it. Solid like a sledge hammer ! And very good looking.

Never owned one, personally, but I hit a buddy's plenty and, yes, it's a helluva driver.

 

I would have loved to have done a side by side comparison while I owned my A-Grind.

Does the smaller head have an inherently lower ball flight? I hit really high already with a 10.5, but I dont want to buy a 9.5 and hit stingers all day Any tip on picking shafts for it?
