Cleveland vs. Titleist wedges

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I'll try to ask anyway.

 

At the moment I own some Adams Tom Watson wedges, and it's time to change.

 

I want either Cleveland 588's or Titleist 200's

 

But what's the diffrence between them? Which is the most forgiving, which has the best feel etc.? What's your experience?

 

They look pretty similar in shape to my eye.

 

I know it is individual, but anyway...what do you think?

 

By the way I will go with a 53/54 - 60 degree combination

I prefer the Vokeys to the 588's. The Vokey's look a litter better to me (Yes, there is a slight difference). I like the 54*10 model and the 60*04 model. I'm not sure about Cleveland's bounce numbers, but the Oil Can are nice enough.

 

I just bought 2 new rac Black wedges to replace my Vokey's to give them a try. They're alright, but no big difference comapred to Vokey's.

I like the Vokeys..... i personally am just a HUGE titleist fan....i play all of their equipment. I like the 200's try the tour satin finish or the black nickel, for a 60* wegde try one of the special grinds i have the 60M and LOVE IT!!!!!!! the 400 series is sweet too i had those in chrome before my 200 and my 60m and i am going to get them in the black nickel finish now that they are made in that finish.

Both the 588 and Vokey's are great wedges, you won't go wrong with either one. It just comes down to personal issues, feel, appearance and confidence.

 

I have 588's, 900's and Vokey's, i choose the Vokey's, but all are comparable wedges. Good Luck!

Between the vokeys and the 588s I'd go vokeys because of their shape and feel, but the cg10s are at the top of the list IMO....better sole grind, feel and spin compared to the others.

Out of 588's and the Vokey 200 Series are very comparable. They do have a slight shape difference, which you alone can only decide which looks the best to your eye. I have always been a fan of Vokeys, I have 2 Oil Cans (50º and 54º), and a Spin Milled 58º. For me the Vokeys feel a little bit heavier, and have a more suitable look to my eye, but again, it is all up to you of what looks best. You can't go wrong with either wedge, you will get comparable spin with both, and each has their distinctive feel. I agree with 'tickyboy' that the CG10's are a VERY good wedge and defenitely worth a look, the grind and overall feel of the wedge is incredible!
