As far as the NFC East, Touch... it's a tough one... but I am going to pick my boys this week... do they cover the spread? That's the tough one but I'm going to hope they do... here are my picks for the week.

Well, my time on the plus side of the weekly ledger was short lived. So I shall try my prognostications again for this coming week.

 

Jack Lambert isn't going to be coming back for this game, and with Shazier injured (so sad btw), I see the Ravens who are not as injured beating the spread, but still losing to the Steelers. So I am picking the Ravens. I have visions of Ray Lewis getting into the hall of fame, and then killing someone. If OJ can do it, so can a guy out of Miami, that will be the quote under his bust in Canton. Joe Flacco will Blue Hen his way with those sleepy eyes to 3 touchdowns and that will be enough to cover.

I am betting on Phillip Rivers to cover again. I hate the guy, and think the Spanos move to LA was stupid, but they are playing better and there is just too much happening in DC for them to focus with all the "tag him, don't tag him" talk. I am looking for a Foutsian performance out of Rivers, and a late career Sonny Jurgenson from Cousins (without the beer belly).

I am seeing Alex Smith break out against the Jack del Rio led Raiders in KC. Hunt is no Nigerian Nightmare, but keeping the Raiders up at night regardless.

The Red Rifle is going to show Trubisky what mediocre QB play really is, and Trubisky will still struggle to attain such lofty heights.

This last pick is absolutely Savage. I am picking the Texans to win even with the NE transplant at the helm. I love the history of the Texans, from Earl Campbell and Bum Phillips. I see Savage going Pastorini on 'em... expect a Billy White Shoes Johnson sighting.

 

My utter lack of current football knowledge will keep me fighting to stay at the .500 mark, but when I do my picks I am reminded of the old joke about Steelers fans.

 

How many Steeler fans does it take to change a light bulb?

I personally think Dallas should be a lock. If Dak and the boyz don't run up some decent points on the lifeless Giants (i know nfc east rival game) then

Dallas is in big trouble for the future and not just the end of this season. Cowboys have to win this game. That said the Giants D confused the 3rd string Redskin Offense pretty well back on Nov. 23rd. But Sean Lee is back on D for the Cowboys and sure seems when Sean plays Dallas wins. If he is not playing they lose. I say Cowboys 24 Giants 14.

Yes it was odd Chickenpot they had a first half only line up (maybe that is what you thought was the game ) and it was a pk. They had a first half total too. In the Indy v Buffalo game it was the same deal. A first half only total and side was available All Week Long...weird.

I bet Knock it close will shed some light on the unusual line deal with both these games.
