The Solheim Cup has no relevance to current women's professional golf. When originally conceived the US vs Europe was meaningful. Currently excluding Asian players from the vs team is just a method trying to keep the USA winning.

 

A better formal to have relevant competition would be to combine the USA and Europe against the Asian players. I suspect such a format would be an old fashioned azz kicking with the USA and Europe providing the azz.

As I said yesterday Europe need Reid to stand up but i just don't think she's capable, followed her for a few years and the minute she starts hitting bad shots her body language is gone and she looks ready to kill someone. Skill and talent can only carry you so far, she needs to learn from players like Kerr and Salas as to how to score when not having your best.
