To be fair, she was a kid for a lot of the stuff people hate on her for. A "checkered" past makes it sound like she is a former felon and not a golfer who didn't quite live up to the hype. It's incredibly dumb, she's polite, great with the fans and has fun out there. What a crime!

 

Patrick Reed does something and it's patriotic, she does it and she's grandstanding. Playing through injuries/wearing tape annoys people, commentators can't do anything but be negative when commentating in a resurgent year for her....it's hilarious after awhile. I don't understand the lust for negativity. She's fun, I love her shoes, and I hope she wins and wins.

Pedersen is growing into the match and Parker doesn't look too over matched - they've run into some buzzsaws unfortunately and hot putters. The Euro's bigger names really haven't lit it up. Hopefully H&H can get a point and not make it a red, white, and blue wash for the afternoon matches.

IMHO - Reed's attitude shows up outside of team competitions as well, which is why his overexuberance in those team matches doesn't seem out of place. And he doesn't kick-off first thing day 1.

I think a lot went right for Michelle -- so much talent--and she works hard. A lot has gone not so right--some not of her doing/in her control. I personally think her window is/has closed for greatness. And it's time for the media and US women's golf to look to the future.

 

But, ...

 

...one thing I give her a lot of credit for is that no matter how down she was,

 

...and with all her money and fame and opportunities to be whatever she wants to be in life...

 

...she keeps on going out there, playing golf. And with, from what i can see, a positive attitude.

 

Heck, I shoot 10 shots over my index three days in a row and I'm ready to give up the game:)
