Sun Mountain V1 Speed cart Foam girp

My foam handle grip on my Speed Cart V1 is starting to fall apart. Not sure if there is a way to replace it. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and found a way to fix it? I was thinking about putting a tennis over wrap grip in it to hold it together. Any Ideas would be appreciated.

You could wrap it in cloth tape? Maybe buy fleece or nice fabric and secure it with double sided tape or as strong glue like gorilla glue?

I used bicycle handlebar wrap on my push cart. Leather like feel and also absorbent to an extent. Feels great. A little more expensive than tennis wraps but will last longer.

Call Sun Mountain they'll probably ship you a free replacement.

I may have to try that. I have replaced the rotary knobs with levers to update it. Much faster to set up/ take down. One thing I'd like to add is a cargo net blow the compartment but they don't have one that fits it anymore. I will likely rig something. Cart is still excellent.

That's weird. The foam is probably the part most likely to degenerate over time. Other things will certainly break but that foam is definitely going to go sometime. And pipe insulation is a lame replacement. I have a Microcart so I don't have the foam and the grips on the Microcart are not nearly as comfortable as the Speedcart.

I purchased the part they advertise on their website,  it "zips" on. It is not as comfortable as the foam grip! I am not happy with this purchase/product though and would rather go through the hassle of disassembly to put on "new foam".
