Recommendations for courses in South Denver - June trip

We're heading into town in mid-June for a wedding and the wife has graciously allowed me to bring the clubs to play two rounds when we're in the area. We'll be staying in the Littleton area for the wedding but I'm open to driving a little bit for some better tracks. As of now I'm leaning towards Fossil Trace and Arrowhead but I'm also considering about CommonGround or Red Hawk Ridge.

 

Any of the 4 above that are "musts" for a first time golfer to Denver or other options that I should be thinking of instead?

 

Appreciate any advice you can offer.

Eliminate CommonGround, IMO. Fossil Trace, Arrowhead, Lone Tree, and The Ridge at Castle Pines are all pretty nice courses to the South-Southwest.

Depends on where you're staying and your access to transportation. I would add Riverdale Dunes and Bear Dance.

Fossil Trace and The Ridge at Castle Pines or Bear Dance if you have time to drive an extra 20 minutes. These will give you the best "Colorado golf" experience.

Thanks everyone for the feedack. Looks like Arrowhead, Fossil Trace, and Bear Dance are the leading spots for the week.

Arrowhead and Bear Dance for sure. I think Fossil Trace is overrated. If you have the time, I would highly recommend driving up to the mountains and play a course up there. The Raven is a great track. Ball flies even further up there than in Denver and the views at any course in the mountains will be fantastic.

If you're deciding between Arrowhead and Fossil Trace, then only pick one--don't play both on the same trip.

 

Lone Tree is pretty meh.

 

If conditions are really dry prior to your trip, and you love to 5-putt, then I would add South Suburban to your list.
