Piretti Matera Elite in hand

Recommended Posts

Received my Matera Elite from Mike and Co at Piretti. I went back and fourth with the either it or the Savona 2. After seeing Tony Finau putt with it more and seeing more pictures of it I chose the Matera. This thing is money just like the cash money headcover.

If someone wants a wide sole blade style putter then look no further and give Austin (leftygolfer) or Mike at Piretti a shout. They won't disappoint.

I think he absolutely crushed it with this design. Made all the right tweaks, great balance...Mike’s been doing work lately.

Looks awesome. Wish they could go a little lighter.

355g = aluminium weights, 365g = copper weights, 375g = steel weights. Almost every modern day 34" putter is 360+ grams as every Scotty is. 35s are 350+. 33s are 370+. So not sure why everyone always says Piretti's are heavy. They are almost exactly like every other putter maker on the market as far as weighting.

Below 350g is rare these days for any putter maker. Unless it's custom made.

With the lightest weights, the Pirettis get close to stock weights with other guys. But I can get a ping vault at 335, a Cameron at 330, and blade style Taylormade putters come stock in the 340's. 15-20 gram difference is significant.

I'm not trying to knock your putter. It is sweet, I'm jealous of yours! I just like a long and light putter. I wish it came in 330-340g so I could have one too!

Oh no worries I understand. Below 350g is completely obtainable. You would just need to reach out to Mike directly. He's always willing to accommodate requests. I've actually seen quite a bit of Pirettis in the 340g range being made here lately.

I am curious however which Ping Vault putters you can get at 335g? All of the 2.0s and last year's vaults are 350g with the mallets being 365g. And all of the 35"-33" Cameron's are 350g-370 unless you are referring to custom ones?

The vault 2.0’s have interchangable weights that can move up or down 15g from stock.

Ah ok makes sense. Do the lighter and heavier weights come stock?

I love the sight dot!

For the life of me, I cannot putt with a sight line.

Congrats!
