Ping 'Grafalloy Tour - Prolite Technology' Shaft

Stumbled across some Ping 'Grafalloy Tour - Prolite Technology' Shafts and was wondering if anyone had an info on them?

 

Are they the same as the matte black 'Grafalloy Tour' prolite shafts or are they a different 'made for' shaft specifically designed for Ping?

Grafalloy Tour, the black, is a evolution model based on Prolite, but if they made a special version for Ping...i dont know.

 

I have the black Tour in my 5W/19*

Yes the Grafalloy black one is great, like a tighter version of the original Prolite to me, that's why I'm interested in this Ping version.

Wow that's a blast from the past. That shaft has to be at least 15 years old?

Was just going to say, that was the stock shaft back in the Isi/TIsi Tec woods from the early 2000's!

Isn't [the original version of] this shaft the one Tom Wishon wrote that 90% +/- of golfers could be fit in to, it was that well designed?

Will Grafalloy ever re-launch the TOUR line? Or BLUE again? Hopefully nothing is going to happen to ProLaunch Red. All Grafalloy shafts were so awesome, its so sad to see them discontinued

Grafalloy is all but dead. True temper is making so much from the Project X line that Grafalloy is basically left to die on the vine. When's the last time you saw a new Grafalloy branded shaft release?

Grafalloy is all but dead. True temper is making so much from the Project X line that Grafalloy is basically left to die on the vine. When's the last time you saw a new Grafalloy branded shaft release?

 

I get that feeling but am hoping True Temper keeps this flagship brand alive, at least as a price budgeted option being all Project X products are $250+

I agree and hope they do also but you have to bring out new product every now and then to stay relevant.

I've seen ProLaunch Red still boxed in True Temper tour vans but is the GRAFALLOY TOUR shafts still carried on tour vans and through PFC Dealers? I saw some guys using it last year like Harris English.
