Tour AD TP vs BB vs GP in 6x for M3

Hey all,

Finally decided to stop tinkering around on my own and went to get fitted for a new driver. Ended up falling in love with the M3 and it's results. Even missed still felt hot and controlled off the face and couldn't complain at all about spin 2100 - 2400.

Just some facts

SS:107-110

Transition: Moderate

Trajectory: Mid-high

With this being said. My fitter didn't have too many shaft options but I have experience with the Graphite design shafts. Specifically AD-DI. When I was tested I was using the AD-GP in 6x and the numbers were excellent but the feel was a touch on the boardy side for my taste. I was curious if anyone has compared the TP and BB in 6x with the GP. Really looking for a little more feel without sacrificing the numbers before i drop the 400 plus on a new m3.

Feedback is much appreciated!

Best,

Justin

I don't have any direct comparisons, but I can say that the AD TP is smooth as silk. Very similar to the AD DI, but just a touch lower launch. I have the 6X unzipped and it holds up very well for me. I have a pretty smooth transition, so we make a pretty good pair. My buddy has my old AD TP 7x in his M1. He's got a much more aggressive transition than I do and it holds up well for him too.

If you want something that is comparable to the AD DI that you're used to the TP is going to be the closest out of that bunch.

Our stats are very similar. I love my M4 with my AD-DI6s. The control and feel is amazing with the combo. I tried M3 I just liked the feeling of M4 head better.

Glad you found a match! Did you tip the 6S at all?

I got fit for the IZ, tried the DI and BB. Liked all of them to be honest, but the numbers were too good with the IZ to pass up. I feel like I can absolutely lay into the IZ and it still feels smooth and has a great ball flight

Haven't even considered the IZ yet. How did it feel/perform compared to DI and BB?

That's kind of what my gut is telling me because I feel the BB may just launch too low. I want to get a few swings in with one before I pull the trigger but TP looks promising and I can throw my DI 7X in my 3 wood.

Just moved out of the GP 6X into the IZ 6X....same numbers as you....longer carry slightly longer total, better feel for me.

M3 Tour head, std 9.5 loft front weight forward, back weight middle, just before the fork in the road.

What he said. The TP is onlt slightly lower than the DI but still has damn near the same feel. I have the TP now in the M4 and regardless if I'm trying to drop a drive in a bucketo ut there or mash it to all hell, plays flawless on any of my swings.
