2018 RSM Classic at St. Simons Island

I wonder if a lack of belief has been an issue for CH3, I was surprised at the comments he made about lacking experience of playing with the lead despite his longevity. Maybe he was trying reverse psychology or something but it sounded like he was talking himself down and being a little negative.

 

Always admired his swing/game but we don't see enough of him despite the fact he's been around forever, that does speak to his point about not playing with (near) the lead hence not featuring on TV coverage.

 

The birdie on 17 was wonderful, great shot.

The shot on 17 was fantastic. When he hit that shot I don't think Rodgers had birdied 18 yet. Charles could have played a save shot to the middle of the green but played aggressively and attacked a tough pin. Rodgers also played aggressively all weekend so it was great to see two guys going all out for the win and executing. Great way to cap off the fall events till Maui in January.

unless you’ve played there before it’s hard to truly appreciate how ballsy that shot was. I know it was just like a 7-8 iron but just long/left it will roll out down the collection area and seaside has some of the tightest fringes around the green I’ve ever played. And it’s uphil til you get to the green then all down hill. That tee shot could have won or lost it for him

Relatively flat, 1 yard.

Interesting. On Camera it looks like it has some decent drop
