I notice Argonne pretends to be a tough marker, but still ends up passing everyone. Or, is he just getting to them?!

He might get to the failing grade when Haru Nomura comes up, though I think it's injuries that got her. So maybe if Haru get a Doctor's note Arg will pass her lol

Do you know anything about these injuries? I've had a bit of a look, and not found anything. And I think you mean "The Great Haru"!

I thought I remembered on the broadcast earlier in the year, there was mention of back issues, could be wrong she may have even missed a little time too

Having not seen much of her on TV this year, I assumed Nomura had some injuries and finally called it quits in order to qualify for a medical exemption for next year. Now that I look, though, she played 17 events and at least once a month through August. While 17 isn’t a lot, it may be too many for a medical.

ETA:

Maude-Aimee Leblanc played 17 events in 2017 and got a medical for 2018, so maybe 17 is the magic number.

Only if she sees my doc.

I knew she had played quite a number of tournaments, because as a fan I noticed her 78's, missed cuts and such propping up the fields. But she hasn't played at all in the last few months, indicating that 17 might be the magic number.

As far as coverage goes, my biggest beef is with the limited number of hours broadcast for most tournaments. Two hours covering a handful of players just doesn't cut it. I don't get too worked up over the announcers, as I'm generally fast forwarding between shots. I think Terry, Judy, Tom, Jerry, Whit, Karen , and Kay do a very good job. 'Not great, but more than acceptable. Kate, Alison, and Peter are also very good on the Asian swing.

The one thing I definitely want to see is live streaming on the LPGA website. If the production crews are out there filming during the days when the broadcast will be tape delayed, there's no reason the live feed can't be shown on the website.

With only 13 events on her schedule, Inbee still managed a win, 6 top 10's, and nearly $1 million earned. She has 19 career victories, and I have to assume she'd love to grab her 20th. I believe she mentioned wanting to make the 2020 Olympics. If she stays in the Top 15 in the World (currently 4th), she'll make it.

Grade: Incomplete.

C'mon Argonne. While you're probably one of a very select group of people that I'd publicly acknowledge as being more informed on women's golf (based on your fashion thread and knowledge of women's international golf) than myself, how in the world does Inbee receive an "incomplete?" Isn't it bad enough that she had to endure being reminded by Judy Rankin about losing in the ANA playoff every time Pernilla Lindberg showed up in GC's coverage? Now you appear to be diminishing her season as being "incomplete?"

Shoot...even Michelle Wie received a grade....Lol. It's hard to come up with another athlete who--although being undoubtedly one of the all-time greats in their sport--tends to be so universally discounted.

So what if Inbee only played in 13 events? At the end of the day it's about the results. To do as well as she did in what was essentially half a season is noteworthy to say the least. Kick in that I believe she also won her 1st KLPGA event this year, it's hard to fathom her season's grade as being incomplete.

Granted there were the missed cuts in the majors (Women's British Open and PGA) and voluntary DNP in the International Crown, but (in my opinion), Top 10's in the other majors, reclaiming the #1 ranking, and ending the season as #4 (without barely breaking a sweat) deserves a bit more than an "incomplete."

Just my two cents...

Blending a bit of the old with the new going into 2024

Yeah, I guess that's a fair assessment. Top 10's in nearly half the events, including a win, and a T2 in a major is probably worth an A. It just seems like the character in the movie "Summer School" who disappears at the beginning of the movie, and then shows up at the end. It could have been so much more.

Is it just me or were tournaments plagued with weather delays more than usual this year?

The early part of the year was definitely plagued by weather delays. Recall that the Texas Classic was shortened to 2 rounds. The latter part of the season was fine, including the rain-free Evian.

Just my opinion, but don't expect a lot of starts from Inbee in 2019 either.

When she decides to play and her game is there the results are still good. I have doubts whether the deire is still there with her.

We'll know very soon.

I recall her saying in an interview that she didn't like the way she was playing with her condensed schedule. Which makes you think she will play more, but who knows. I guess we really won't know her plans until we get into the season.
