Scotland Suggestions Inverness or Ayrshire areas

Question for those that have flown into the Inverness airport: how long to allow for customs? I'm connecting through London, then hopping to Inverness. Any tips?
You'll pass through immigration/passport control at Heathrow/Gatwick. Could fly through, could spend some time staring at the back of the head of the person in front :)
You'll be in and out of Inverness airport as quickly as the baggage handlers can get your sticks off the plane.

I understand the reasons behind Turnberry, but it really is by far the best we have. The changes made there really are first class, is is not ranked number 1 in the Uk for no reason. I played again in November and is just amazing; but I understand as I say.

Shiskine is nice, but not worth the trip or effort. Is a fair distance, an hour on a ferry and then a 35 minute journey by car. The views are nice, but the course is very very short and I can only imagine that you will be disappointed.

Dundonald is decent, depending on when your are going it can get very fast, greens can be very tricky if you are not used that sort of condition; may well take some of the fun out of it for you. Some of the inland courses are very good if in high season, and would give you a different challenge than just links golf.

Glasgow golf club (Killermont), so the partner club of Glasgow Gailes is well worth a game - ( worlds 9th oldest club) the course is always in manicured condition.

^I'm sure it's a solid course - and your #1 - but I'll happily take TOC, Dornoch, Muirfield, Prestwick, North Berwick, and you can have the two Trump tracks :)

Is my number 1 in Scotland yes, but you cant have all those as a swap, not fair?

You can keep TOC, N Berwick and Prestwick though...

West Kilbride is a good course by the way, some great holes and I played many a competition there when I was younger, they used to hold a lot of events there. Generally always windy there, but has some great views over to Arran.

TBF, it was rather presumptuous to try and go 5/2 :)

I'll take Dornoch and you can have Muirfield? 4/3 is much fairer surely.
