Resort style courses within +/- 6 hours of Boise

Looking for a couple weekend get away options for me and my wife, without the course being too challenging for her.

We played the Coeur d'Alene resort course last year, and she got around fine. I think we are going to go back and play Circling Ravens, but I am worried that may be too difficult for her.

Are there any other easy but memorable courses that are within driving distance from Boise?

If she can handle CDA resort, she can handle Circling Raven. Just pick a set of tees that avoids forced carries from the tee. Silvies Valley Ranch resort is about 3.5 hours west in Oregon, lots of stuff to do there, both golf and non golf. Your wife should be fine on the Craddock/Hankins course (reversible 18), it's got a lot of space and great views. I've heard good things about Osprey Meadows in McCall (only about an hour north of Boise) but never played it myself.

Pick a destination first, then pick a golf course, call up the golf course and usually they'll have arrangement with close by accommodation to fit your budget.

Lind of hard to beat Coeur d'Alene resort for everything they offer except for the shopping.

Just received promotion from The Coeur d'Alene Resort. Surely you would have the same notice if you had been their guests. From your location, it might not be a bad deal to visit it again.

As edaw said silvies is the place you want to go. My wife and I went last year when we were visiting family in Bend and it was an awesome experience. The courses are very forgiving and a lot of fun. It has some great views especially when your having lunch or breakfast at the hideout. The par 3 course is fun to play and can be done in a hour or so. The people that work at the ranch are very friendly and make the whole experience as far as we were concerned. Dinner at the farm table was a new and great experience. We thought that it sounded super awkward but it was great as you get to sit and talk with people that are all there for the same reason ... to enjoy golf and have fun. We had our first 7 course meal that was excellent and that includes the goat that we tried. After dinner everyone would sit around the bar and share stories like family. There is also tons of other things to do around the ranch (we didn’t haha) and now they should have the pool and spa open. If you do make it hopefully your experience is as good as ours. We will be back there at some point.

We live out in Middleton so most of my rounds are at Purple Sage

Only played there once. I do get out to River Birch a few times a year, mostly stay more local to Boise

Central Oregon? Black Butte Ranch has two decent courses. Sunriver has 3 courses and a 9-holer. You could also play Quail Run just south of there. Eagle Crest has three courses and would probably be cheaper than Sunriver or Black Butte. Eagle Crest might also be a good option if you are worried about difficulty. There are other public course options around Bend, Sisters and Redmond- Juniper, Widgi Creek, River's Edge, Aspen Lakes, Lost Tracks. There would also be a lot of non-golf stuff to do like hike, mountain bike, ski (in the spring), drink beer, go to concerts, etc.

as Jiggelow noted, Bend OR has good golf within a 6 hr drive of Boise.

I really liked Pronghorn Nicklaus; it's fun with very good par 3s. Black Butte (Glaze Meadows) is pretty with elevation changes & varied length par 3s. Juniper is an open, desert-style course. Aspen Lakes was pleasant. Pronghorn Fazio was okay.

Didn't care care for Tetherow, because it's built on the side of a steep hill.

Crosswater was frustrating. It's mostly dead flat with too many par 4s that required a mid iron layup short of a creek, followed by a 180+ yd approach (like the 18th hole).
