SteelFiber i95 vs Recoil F4

Never hit the i95 SF stiff only i95 SF reg. Have played Recoil F3 and demoed F4. My driver is 90 SS with quick transition. Like some irons available with i95 stiff SF but can't demo. I know the main comments on the SF's playing stiffer than the Recoils but given what I have said is it reasonably do able?

My 6-iron swing speed is 80, and my driver swing speed in 90 (my flaw is a steep swing, which hurts me on the longer clubs).

I currently play 780 recoils in F4. I just got fitted, and the iron recommendation was SF i95 in stiff. They felt fine. Fitter did not have recoils to compare against.

Interesting. My SS with 6i is 86mph and 101 mph with driver and i was fit in to R i95.

Not everyone can use their driver shaft needs and specs to transfer to irons. Some players more aggressive with driver than irons, or visa versa.

Is what reasonable? Sorry but the basic question is missing from the post :-)

But if it's about how suitable the i95 stiff's might be for you, unfortunately you've missed sharing the important information that might help answer that. You need to tell us the details of your experiences with the other shafts you mentioned. You only said you played or demo'd them but you didn't say anything about how it went. For the reg i95's, and F3 and F4 recoils - What you liked or didn't like about each of the shafts? How was the ball flight? the feel? dispersion? etc... The more details the better.

It's only by getting a good idea of those experiences that we might tell if it might be worth it to try the stiffer i95. Just the details on your swing isn't going to really help very much by itself.

Well Steelfiber plays pretty stiff. I also keep getting fitted into more flexible shafts than my swing speed due to my transition.

Ultimately, I just ignore the stamp. If the shaft feels right, I go with it.

fwiw I was fit into i95 regular flex. Hybrids and woods are stiff flex, and previous iron fitting was DG120 S300. I just got a hybrid with ES780SW F4 and it feels about right. When I was fit the other iron shaft (along with i95) that was in contention was Recoil 110 F4. At the end of the day, I had better results with the i95 regular - I was able to deal with the drop in weight. Flex felt "comparable".

Love the SF, I'm a little faster than you and similar transition, long-term s300. I've played the i95 regular, stiff straight-in and more recently, with a soft-step. Stiffness with the latter, for me, was nearly identical. The regular was too loose, and the straight in was much too strong. Ive played the SS version for a good bit, and tired of the work they demand over 18 holes but I didn't want to leave the SF family. Enter the i110 regular version- its early, but I believe they are friggin perfect- a little tough to get swing-weighted, but oh so smooth. Hope this helps...
