Callaway 2019 Apex Pro vs Mizuno JPX 919 Tour

Has anyone been able to compare these two? Which did you prefer and why?

I think Forged is the equivalent. Callaway X-Forged and 919 Tour would be a closer comparison.

I was down to the Apex Pro vs. 919 Forged. I ended up with 919 Forged. Mostly because of slightly higher spin and less "clicky" feel. I don't think there is a wrong answer here. Apex Pro is a gorgeous club and I hit a lot of good shots, but the Forged felt better and that slightly longer blade with more weight out there helped my nemesis the toe side miss. Plus, the Modus was standard option (although I'm not sure if it is with Apex Pro).

Apex Pro feel like a true forged no comparison to 919 forged. 919 Tour and Apex pro are similiar clubs

I had the 919 tour and now have the apex pro. The Callaway are way more forgiving .

I've had both this year, and I'm back to the 919 tours. My biggest problem with the Apex pros was my distance control. Even off the tee, I'd get a 9 iron that went 140, and then one that would go 160. I haven't had that with the Mizuno's. I loved the look of the Apex pros, and they felt great. I'd say they are real close on forgiveness. IMO, the Mizuno is a little softer feeling, but the Apex looks a little better. Both great clubs. I'd still be playing the Apex if I wouldn't have gotten them flyers every now, and then.

Both great clubs, but wouldn’t compare them directly. 919T are a forged players CB, Apex Pro more of a players distance iron. Callaways were a little hotter, higher launch, lower spin for me. Mizunos felt a little better to me, and fit my swing better (don’t need extra distance/launch). Both look good to my eye. Cant go wrong- really depends on what you need/want of your irons. I couldn’t be happier with the 919T!
