Doesn't Ralpy Maltby have shaft profile software?

Group, I was in contact with Tom early today. The software is on track and he mentioned that Diamond will probably present it in the Fall of this year (2020). It will be Web-based, so I would suspect that would mean a yearly subscription.

They have profiled the variety of shafts that Diamond stocks and will be reaching out to manufacturers to obtain shafts to profile. That may present some problems, but we'll have to wait and see.

I myself am looking forward to it and hope to be one of the first in line as long as subscription cost is reasonable and I can recoup the cost in my small operation I have.

Wouldn't this list of shaft profiles be the same as that used by TrueSpec, Hot Sticks, Club Champ, et.al?  Fitters don't have this information in their head.

Seems, as of 2022, nothing has been updated regarding the old Wishon tool by the company that bought the intellectual property?  I see nothing on their webiste.

I've never seen any evidence that any of those fitters use a standardized database of profile data.   The shaft OEM "profile data" isn't nearly as detailed or accurate or comparable across OEM's but it can still be used in the fitting process - just typically means many more iterations in the trial and error process to dial in the fit.

 

The only other standardized and detailed DB that I'm aware of is the golfshaftreview website - although their subscription cost is pretty high for access to the detailed data. 

 

Titleist did their own testing of the aftermarket shafts they offer.  It's just butt and tip frequency so not very detailed.

I had a. Email from Diamond / Wishon a few months ago about the new software/subscription for the shafts. Basically said it was coming this year, with some new shafts from Wishon

Hey Claf, it is web based. Login and off you go. I can't compare it to the original profiler, never used it.  The bend profile graphs that are posted in times past on here is of course still there - relatively unchanged. A newer feature is being able to have one shaft to compare others to listed as a cpm lime graph. I'll work on sharing an example. Close to 4k shaft models, but some of the current flavors of the month are not there yet, plenty of Tensei, no Ventus yet. Site seems to be add a feature, or kill a nuisance every few days  That or my memory is shot.😄

thanks TKS. I emailed Tom also to see if I can jump onto the Beta. Looking fwd to it in the future as long as it's priced reasonably. I've used the older version for awhile. I was able to extract all the old info into a spreadsheet and add newer shafts. I thought it was pretty useful, but of course lack of any newer shafts is always a problem.
