Black shaft similar to Nippon NS Pro Modus3 120

Looking to upgrade the look of my irons and would like to put on a black shaft instead of the standard chrome version. Anyone have a black version that would give similar feel, weight and what not as the Nippon NS Pro Modus3 120? Here are the known specs that I have about the shaft itself;

- Traditional Flex = S

- Raw weight = 114g

- Tip OD = 0.355

- Butt OD = 0.600

- Torque = 1.5-1.7 deg

- Trajectory = Mid-Low

I would like to upgrade to something black (particularly flat black) so any ideas or suggestions would be great.

How about DG Onyx? Love the s400 tour issues ... 132 g though

Go hit the KBS $-taper 120. It comes in black. It finished in the top three for a recent iron fitting that i recently went through. The other two finalists were the Modus3 110 and the Recoil 110.

Google metal coatings near you. Specifically PVD. Likely a medical company, faucet company, or metal company will pop up.

Call them and ask how much it would be to add your shafts to a batch of their black. They'll give you a price and a timeline.

$taper...to me very similar in ball flight and feel.

$-Taper would be close, you could also go KBS Custom as they do black editions now of the C-Taper/C-Taper Lite and KBS Tour if you pay a bit of a premium. If you happen to fall in love with some new heads as well, the Cobra CB/MB, Forged Tec and Titleist AP2 and AP3s are all available in black now with an accompanying black shaft (AMT Tour White black edition in all of them or $-Taper for upcharge in Titleist). I could be wrong but I think the Apex Pro Smokes also come with a black TT Elevate, which would launch a touch higher than Modus 120 but feel very similar in terms of smoothness. I know the standard Apex Smokes come with a flat black Elevate 95 so I'm sure the pros come with the accompanying Elevate Tour as well.

However, it should be noted that none of these are available at retail except for the KBS, unless you go up significantly in weight for the S400 as mentioned above or down significantly into a DG105 Black Onyx (great shaft, but I'm a bit biased).
