I liked them a lot actually. The preworn lead edge worked really well for me. Feel was what you’d expect. Misses off the toe for me lost quite a bit.

Bottom line, I couldn’t justify the increased cost to go with them vs P760 or T100 which have some stability tech in them. I will however try to find a used set down the road.

Found a great deal on the TC 201 heads, so it looks like I will be ordering 4-PW tomorrow. Now to find my Nippon 120TX shafts!

I have had the TC 201 with KBS TGI 100 in the bag for 8 rounds now and they are really excellent irons, there have been some head scratcher shots but after a couple of range sessions and working out some swing issues they are a lot longer than I anticipated.

Good contact gives that Mirua feel and the accuracy is on point, there is some forgiveness but imo they do not like low on the face strikes with a club or so lose of distance. Off center a bit does not seem to be very penalizing either way from center. Having not played a blade type iron in a while I had forgotten how critical it is to distance to make proper contact, if you get lazy there is a penalty to pay for sure.

I was feeling the KBS TGI 100 were a bit boardy but that was on me and my swing, after some range time and getting some of the basic problems identified and somewhat corrected the loading feels better and I am seeing much better flight and distance.

Reviving this one. I've had some range time and a round with the TC-201 irons and have been quite impressed so far. Really enjoy the shape of the heads and how compact the PW actually is. It really fits the set unlike some in the past.

I had a discussion with one of the vendors regarding the offset. I have been told the way around is to submit a custom order where they produce your 4 iron instead of 5 iron. The head shape will remain the same 99.9% but the size could become slightly smaller ( not by that much) as your 9 iron would become your PW. Iron numbers also would be stamp as per your new setup i.e. 9 iron will have a stamp of PW.

you could request to reduce bounce (I think max is 2) and you will be making the lofts weaker.

as a result, you will end up with much less offset. You could potentially cut the offset by 3/4 using the above process.

 

I did submit my TB zero order through Miura Giken and waiting for it. I did not have to go though the progressive process as my PW was FP 6 which is the max. FP 6 would equal to 0.85 offset in PW iron. If I needed less offset than that, they had to do the same I have mentioned above.

 

cons:

1- it will take up to two month for this process to complete and have your irons.

2- you can only submit this request through Miura Giken japan. As Miura global will not take orders like these.

3- as mentioned, your head size could be slightly smaller. Some people may prefer that.

Where ? The prices I see hover around 2k for a complete set and I think that's a bit much.
